The Losers cast by Jock
A few years ago Vertigo published this awesome comic book called The Losers, which was about a top CIA special ops team who were betrayed by their superiors and now were trying to get payback, clear their names and protect America. What was so awesome about the book is that although the premise and in fact many of the situations in the book at first glance seemed a bit cliche, but the way they were resolved and handled was at the same time completely awesome, innovative and surprising as hell. Seriously, I can't recommend the book enough and actually turns out, thanks to AICN about this, that you can read the first issue free online, http://www.dccomics.com/media/excerpts/1687_1.pdf.
So, the reason for this post for those fans of the series, as you may know, there is a movie coming out based on the comic. It works well, as the story is easily transferred to the big screen. Anyway, at Comic-con, the artist of the Jock, showed this poster, which is the cover of the issue, but this time with the cast added. So to your viewing pleasure, I give you the Losers.
Personally, I don't know enough about Columbus Short or Oscar Jaenada to say anything about them, but Morgan should rule as Clay and Elba (Cutty from Wire) has the intensity and scariness necessary for Roque. The big question marks for me are Evans, as although I think he is a good actor, body-type wise he is pretty far from the scrawny technerd of Jensen, and Zoe Saldana, who is neither an arab, which was a rather crucial thing for Aisha, nor I'm not certain she can project the attitude necessary. Still, I'm extremely psyched about this movie. So psyched in fact that I'm now considering doing a couple of posts about the awesome that is the Losers.
