The opposite of hot coffee is iced tea. With milk and honey.

Everyone knows that.

I would think that the opposite of a hot drink that wakes you up would be a cold drink that puts you to sleep, which I'm fairly certain iced tea is not. Let's see, coffee is bitter, so we need something sweet... Let's say cold apple cider with a sleeping pill; that might work.

It depends on whether or not the coffee was decaf, doesn't it? And iced tea isn't always black/caffinated....chamomile and other herbal teas, especially the ones with valerian in them, are sedatives. (Although technically they're not "tea" at all, but infusions, and aren't really bitter even without being fixed. But close enough!)

Apple cider is good too. :P

*shrugs* Tea in any form is not my preferred drink, so I'll concede the point - I just thought that 'tea' is close enough to 'coffee' in the general sense that it wouldn't seem to work as its opposite - an opposite is something that is directly opposed to something, instead of sharing similarities, however faint.

True enough, though tea and coffee drinkers have a long-standing rivalry, not unlike DC vs Marvel fans. Not -true- opposites, but accepted enough that it'll work.

...man, this is kind of a random discussion. :P

Well, me not being either, I tend to look at these with an unbiased eye.
Tangents are the main joy of life.

The Monitor/Anti-Monitor bit is...well, it's not funny, but it is.

It's most confusing. >_>

Yeah, I know what you mean.
I really wasn't sure if I was supposed to laugh.
And, in the other hand, poor Robin.
And Darkseid is definetly win.

I wish this book had been around when I was little. I would have ADORED it. I mean, I <3 it now, but I would have been over the moon for it at about 4.

Aww, poor Robin! Batman had better get there soon; there's nothing worse than waiting alone to be picked up . . .

what about not getting picked up because your dad has been killed by Janitseid's Omega beams? he's just checking in on Robin to get an alibi!

actually, it's kinda weird that Robin is sitting there waiting for Bruce and talking to the guy who killed him

Awww.... poor Robin... his dad was killed by the Janitor. That's got to suck whichever way you look at it.

(Of course that last pic is just waiting for about ten pairs of eyes to suddenly appear behind him... with zombie noises)

Nah, this is Tiny Titans we're talking about here. The nastiest thing Mr. Darkseid probably did was key the Batmobile or something.

So the Anti-Monitor is really a Bizarro version of the Monitor, then.
THIS EXPLAINS SO MUCH. Screw the Antimatter Universe and Qward - this works much better.
