For all of it's simplicity this is really rich in subtle details. A textbook example of having the art say so much while using so little, and remaining true to the core (or how they SHOULD BE, BAT-DAMN it!) essences of the characters.

This scene always makes me sniffle and wonder why we can't have canon like this? Proper Bruce/Selina spawn is long overdue, or at least until they retcon Helena Kyle back into existance.

I don't think Helena has been retconned out of EXISTENCE - she's still around, she still exists; she's just not being featured in any comics at the moment. She could be written back into the formula without contradicting anything that's previously occurred.

That is so sweet of you, thank you.

When I did the Cabbage Patch story, there were three things I wanted to deal with and one of them had to do with this scene:

1. To confirm, that in this universe, Selina is Terry's mother.
2. How Bruce got Terry.
3. To show how Terry was able to recognize Selina in 'Rivalry', because he is shown and told (many times)who she is. Terry doesn't fully understand her role in his life yet, but thanks to his father, he does know she's 'Ma-ma'.
