Man, The Charmeleon is such a freaking chump. XD

MJ an Aunt May are such badasses though.

I'd say that must have been rather embarrassing for the Chameleon, but seriously, even Doctor Doom wouldn't stand a chance against Aunt May.

Which superhero wives and girlfriends can you see doing something like this?

MJ looks like Starfire in that first page. Also, what's with fictional characters always bragging about how awesome they are when they're in disguise? "He was one of the toughest guys I've ever faced, and he's obviously had hundreds of girlfriends!"

That "gotcha" was amazingly badass, though, I do remember wondering that it could have gone hilariously wrong if all her confirmation attempts had been along the lines of the last one and Peter just had too much on his mind with the whole "Secret identity suddenly known" to think too hard about whether or not an old friend his aunt casually mentioned was retired.

But yeah, you'd think Chameleon would learn to do a little more research before trying to pull off something like this.

In that case she'd have Peter passed out for a few hours and a lot of explaining to do once he woke up. But the bit with the arsenic was just inspired.

Hey, if I was in disguise, I'd talk myself up too.

If it were really Peter, his spider-sense would probably warn him if he were eating poisoned cookies. Unless they were really good and therefore worth the long sleep.

Well, since he hates the cookies he wouldn't have eaten them.

Aunt May has all the bases covered!

This is why the unmasking was a REALLY bad idea for Spiderman, but a "Who cares?" moment for Ironman.

Spiderman has a HUGE gallery of villians that constantly try to get Spiderman.

Ironman has a gallery of "whatevers" that want to get Tony Stark.

Rumiko Fujikawa was refrigeratored by someone I'd never heard of. You can't save a character from bad writing.

Didn't Happy die after the world knew Stark Ironman were the same fascist person?

It's Happy's job to worry about and protect Mr. Stark. As his personal assistan Happy is a bodyguard (when Iron Man isn't around), financial advisor, sounding board and confidant. Hence, he's going to get a lot of Stark's crap passed on to him to deal with: personal, financial and personal safety. It comes with the job.

The Chameleon has such a dopey smile while he's walking in the door behind Aunt May.  Also, he should have just attacked her immediately.  I don't know why he felt like he had to wait for her to make the cookies.

What's really really dumn is that those guardbots should really have been able -- and damn well programmed -- to ascertain Peter's location from his armour prior to handoff.

There were built by Tony Stark. His robots are either very stupid, or crazy stalker smart. There is no middle ground.

I bet they have rotary phones built into them.

I love the Chameleon's 'oh, CRAP' look after Aunt May has just told him about the cookies. I kinda hope, once Spidey's world goes back to normal with his secret identity still largely secret again (which is what I assume is probably going to happen), that Chameleon is one of the few people who still knows it. Because the thing is, he knew it ANYWAY, so it's not like it'd be revisionism, and I like the idea of the Chameleon being someone who has more of a beef going with Spidey's FAMILY than with Spidey himself. 'Cause it's one thing when a superhero beats the crap out of you - that's their job, after all - but when two perfectly normal people, one of them a little old lady, manage to do the same thing, then it's WAR. He's like the Crazy Quilt of the MU.
