One Perfect Moment: Tana's Death
Yesterday I posted the sweet return of Superboy's first love, Tana Moon. Kon was happy to have her, but according to comic book law, whatever joy you feel with someone, it will only be MORE scaring when that person dies. The scans coem from "Superboy 74"
Well, the evil factory has been stop, all the evil Agenda clones, with the expception of Match, have been turn into pink ooze. and the morals and virutre of Cadmus Labs has been restored. Throughout the issue, SB was experiancing an reoccuring pain after he, Young Justice, The Justice League and Society got hit by a ray that reverses their ages (look up "Sins of Youth" for more details.) Kon-El was the only one who didn't transformed, becuase of his gentenic lock of being 16, from Superboy #38-41. Soon after the epic battle, Superboy is getting his body checked to see what can be done, while Tana worries about him. but now, in the words of Elvis Previsly: Little Less Converstation, a little more action.
That's right, Cassie was there. This kind of deepens the relationship between her and Conner. In fact, she even says something to shut up Spence in Young Justice: Sins of Youth #2 (any one can post it?).
This maybe common ground today (only less gore) and true, it is a Fridged Women moment. But it was a great life lesson for Kon. He learned that even with his powers, he can't save everyone, even the ones he loves the most. And true, he gotten over her death, but UNLIKE the X-Men, he stills remembers her (for the rest of his seires, at least). In Young X-men, Wolf-Cub died, and they mourn him in one issue, and he was forgotten by everyone. Heck, Scott was more concern about the messiah baby than his own brother is stuck in space, being held prisoner by his other evil brother. Wait, I am getting off track here.
Even though this was tragic for the Kid, he still statyed the fun loving clone we love, only abit more mature and serious. Which is why I say this was a perfect moment for him.
