The epic love story of Nightcrawler and a gargoyle (the kind made of stone)
Proving that Kurt Wagner can is a sexy bitch to anyone, living or dead, human or--well, it's a good thing he never meant Callisto when she was all tentacly--here's the first and only installment of Kurt Loves The Gargoyle.

Is that Bruce the Gargoyle? Because if it is, Spider-Man will be heartbroken.

Plot, such as it is (company-wide crossovers, what can I say?), happens, and Kurt ends up in a comic book store helping defend against zombie mannequins.

Oh, and Rachel has been turned into a mannequin. Usually you need Greg Land on pencils to get that effect. Kurt and Bruce go to stop Mannequin 2: On The Move from getting married to a demon.

"Of all the souls I've ever encountered, his was the most... human..."

Or would "Alas, poor Yorick. I knew him, Horatio." be more appropriate?

Regardless, a moment of silence for Bruce, the Nightcrawler-loving Gargoyle.

Crotus is damned lucky he got banished before Goliath and the clan found out what he'd done to poor Bruce.

All I could think from reading the above-the-cut post was, "What, is Marvel getting in on that game, too?"

Oh, Claremont, what won't you ship?

On a related note, we need to hook you up with a copy of the Deadly Hands Special.

We all have gaped
At some Adonis
But then we crave a meal more nourishing to chew
And since your shape
Like a croissant is
No question of she's gotta love a guy like you...

Is THAT what that lyric is? I always thought it was 'and since you're shaped like a quasadis', and since I had no idea idea what a quasadis was, the verse never made much sense to me.

IIRC they actually have one of the gargoyles hold up a croissant as they're singing the line.

Yeah, I know, but I always figured that THAT was a 'quasadis' - that a quasadis was some variety of croissant-like French pastry that I'd never heard of.

Uh... what is your reference to Bruce the gargoyle and Spidey? Who's Bruce the gargoyle?
Also, as a gargoyle enthusiast, this warms my heart.

In the 90's animated series, Spidey talked to this one particular stone gargoyle a lot. He called him Bruce.

(Or possibly it was many gargoyles, all of which he called Bruce. With Spidey, you can never tell!)

I thought I was good at remembering stuff from nineties cartoons, but I really didn't remember that. Cool.

(Don't think I could even try rewatching that, after getting spoiled by The Spectacular Spider-Man these days. Although SmTAS Peter was really buff)

Ohhhhh, OK. Thanks. Interesting little tidbit - I've watched a few episodes of that series, but I never noticed that detail.

Eh, it didn't happen all that often - it was a skipping gag.
