The new Batman debuts!
This loses its punch now that ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) mysteryfan posted the preview, but I don't care. first of all, since you're already under the cut, I want to apologize. I wanted to embed a video of my niece prancing around in a Batman mask, but you can't embed videos from Facebook. :( But it's not a total loss, since I did make this picture for you.  it'll prolly be more relevant when Bruce comes back but still sorry Gotham villains, you lose For legality, a gratuitous homage by Dustin Nguyen, from Gotham Gazette. Can't see more than a still pic, but aw, your niece is cute. Also, I still miss Batman. 
Huh. I was able to watch it before I had my sister-in-law friended, so I dunno what happened there. ...And logging out I can't even view the page. :(
She is the best niece ever, wish I had the video on Youtube or something.
And we still have Bruce in Superman/Batman at least!

When I was her age, I used to play that I was Batman, too.
I was originally gonna try to do this as a teaser for Batgirl in a few months, but no. She says it herself, she's Batman, and I'd be a pretty bad uncle not to encourage her to do whatever she's got her heart set to.
Bonus fact! I gave my brother that Bat-mask for X-Mas four years ago. He's gotten a lot of mileage out of it.
That image makes it look like Batman is eating Batman's head. Kinda.

Who's the woman in white?
As far as I know, just some lady in the on the Dustin Nguyen pages, but if the credits are any indication, her name's The Veil, who, according to this review: "I’m pretty sure is the character introduced in a recent Detective/Batman two-parter."That's all I know about her.
Well, given the cover I posted she's going to be showing up in 'Tec fairly soon.
I can't seem to watch the video, but I can see the still image before you press play and she looks adorable. I like turning the towel/blanket into a cape!
Despite the fact that when I was little I know I had very clear ideas about who various fictional characters were, it always amazes me when I encounter little kids now who do. Kids are so much smarter than we give them credit for. Mind you, if I try and tell them that I liked Ninja Turtles when I was their age, they look at me like I have two heads. =P
Between my brother and me, I think there's little chance she and her little brothers won't have a healthy exposure to comics, Batman especially, since he's always been a huge fan. I'm visiting them later this month for her third birthday, and I've been considering getting some Tiny Titans to bring with me.
That would be really sweet. Tiny Titans makes me wish I had nieces or nephews to give them to. Alas, all I have are my brother and his girlfriend's cats, and the cats don't seem too interested in comics! |
