I looked back a bit and I haven't seen this posted but I just joined so I might be mistaken in which case forgive the repeat.

So when I looked through Uncanny X-men on a recent bout of masochism my righteous feminism sense were all ready pinging and on the last page of Fantastic Force they went wild. (There's some alternate timelines involved before people go 'where did this come from' on me.)

	'Marvel is spreading out their suck by having Yost write Runaways (and even more suck in that apparently the NXM get a cameo so he can traumatize them some more).' Someone really needs a chill pill on this note. Yost is only writing Runaways for the month, and as a matter of fact, it was actually better than the crud we put up with for nine months or so. PLUS, exactly what's your issue with the final page of Fantastic Force? All three of the women have gone through extremely dark patches in their respective histories, be it Jean's Dark Phoenix phase, Lorna's mental breakdowns and being screwed with by Magneto and others, and Wanda's own dubious mental breakdowns and causing the House of M. If they're plucked from different points of their careers, from alternate universes, then just what is the issue?

Have you actually read Yost's latest Runaways story? He wrote them before during the Secret Invasion mini, but Runaways 10 was so much better. It was a good story and the NXM didn't get traumatized in their cameo. They actually got to have fun like normal teens and weren't forced to pointlessly fight the Runaways.

Slott's handling of Vision is a bit off (he's a glorified iPod really). But really I like that the Young Avengers are getting out there. And I still think that Marvel is saving Wanda's real return for Heinberg for some reason.

What was wrong with the latest Agents of Atlas?

I do think the writer was trying to evoke the Furies. I also think they utterly failed due to a bloody stupid name. Even ignoring historical implications (because not everyone knows the etymology of the words they use), it's just a shitty name. Period (pun very little intended ;).

It's actually a cool and damn frightening idea to have these three (don't care about Harpy much honestly) team up at the height of their crazy/evil phases to end the world. (Though, can't we have a Promethea-like *good* end of the world for once Marvel? Seriously.) Especially with the air of "you really have no fucking prayer" that they seem to have.

That's... a weird name. Hard t pronounce to boot. But seriously who calls themselves hysterical or something of the like? You don't even have to know the original uses of that word because being called hysterical is still not a good thing (a bit more gender neutral expression these days tho). So calling your own team that? Weird.

Btw, anyone else thought of the recently seen alternate universe in Exiles where these three ladies were the top of the ruling elite and friends (well associates and family perhaps more appropriate)?
