Trinity #51 DEATH

Last we left off in issue 49 the world was broken by Krona who was searching for the Worldsoul. In issue 50 Krona communed with the Worldsoul only to find out everything he wanted to know about it was nothing like he expected. Krona got pissed and was kicked out of the Worldsoul's realm. The Worldsoul and the Trinigods and the Worldsoul used their powers and apparently syphoned from Krona as well to fix the world.

The world has now been fixed. Restored it seems to what it once was. In issue 49 Tomorrow Woman tried using her powers to keep Los Angeles from flying away as Earth was shattered by Krona and gravity failed.

And it seems like Tomorrow Woman has indeed perished. Not sure if I should take this at face value though, one issue left and all. Granted Mr. Busiek might've just revived her here to make her human enough for her to become a Black Lantern perhaps? (Shut up, I have few hopes at this point)

Hopefully this isn't the last we'll hear of Tomorrow Woman in Trinity, but if it is she had some great parts in the story and I can't be all that angry. It was fun.

This page is also fun since it seems the Dreambound will survive Trinity. Of course I'll be honest I have no idea where Xalitan Xor went. I liked him. He doesn't appaear in the issue as far as I can tell.

Next three pages of a little girl and her father.

Morgaine pulls the obvious and attacks Enigma severely wounding him while working with Despero and soon after takes out Despero herself thus leading to Enigma's above predicament. This page made me go D:  That's Enigma's daughter Stephi/Stephanie who was critically wounded before Trinity and put into a S.P.H.E.R.E that kept her alive.

The goddamn Bat-God has in previous issues managed to instill a new concept in the Void Hound (of the Anti Matter Universe) and turned it into a good guy kind of and it seems in this issue has Stephi combine with the Void Hound so as to form a new techo being who will apparently be able to teleport them home and save her father, Enigma.

I also love that of them all it's Batman who makes sure that the child doesn't have to go through losing her father.

Quite an issue. All this and the Crime Syndicate get ready to come and beat down the Trini Gods who are now exhauseted after fixing the world with their Creation Energy.

Batman helping a lonely child is always worth-while. cf the scene in JLU where Ace of the Royal Flush Gang is dying and instead of fighting her, Batman just sits and holds her hand so she won't have to die alone, the way she was terrified she would.

And in case anyone is unfamiliar with the scene. Here it is. And if you can watch it without a manly (or womanly) tear in your eye, I do not wish to know you...

Gahhh! It's a good thing I'm alone, because I'm BAWLING... this is why I love the DCAU, especially TAS.

Squee! Also, the void hound needs to be nicknamed "Ace" by Stephanie.

As far as I am concerned, Steph is at the same time Spoiler and Secret of Earth 3.

Heehee. That'd be pretty cool. She does seem to be both. Anti Matter Earth anyway.

Wonky art. Steph looks like a kid when she first pops out of the Sphere thing, and then she looks much older.

That's because they're by different artists.

Don't worry about it. TRINITY is an alternate continuity.

Not quite. This is the normal continuity. It was an alternate one before and that Tomorrow Woman came to the normal universe and seemingly perished right now.

First thought:
1) Jeez, Nicieza's normally a decent scripter, but those lines by the GBS reporter about Tomorrow Woman are really cheesy and weak.

Second thought:
I really hope Primat and her pals stick together.

Isn't Busiek the writer?

The non-Bagley sections are scripted and co-written by Nicieza. Or at least they were at the point I was last paying attention to the series
