GALACTA (or "The World-Eater's Daughter")
First post at the new scans_daily! Hopefully I haven't forgotten how to do one of these things. My biggest concern is the new cut system, as requested in the userinfo, so if my HTML is borked, I'll get on it ASAP. Apologies in advance.

So! Onto the scans.

I imagine most of us didn't pay much attention to the two-part MARVEL ASSISTANT-SIZED SPECTACULAR, featuring offbeat stories helmed by Marvel's intrepid Assistant Editors.

I'd have thought a MINI-MARVELS Hawkeye comic by Chris Giarrusso would certainly get attention, as would the comic debut of THE DAILY SHOW'S Wyatt Cenac writing Luke Cage. Hell, I wish more people had noticed the fact that D-Man finally got treated with dignity after the crap Bendis put him through.

But as such, few folks probably even care that Marvel is having a poll to vote on which of the six stories deserves continuation.

For me, there is only one contender:

EDIT: Regrettably, as apparently the rules dictate I can only post four pages from current issues (which is news to me, as we've seen far more than four pages from, say, BATTLE FOR THE COWL: THE UNDERGROUND), I've had to cut out the first five pages. Hopefully the rest will give you the gist.

GAH! EATING KITTENS IS JUST PLAIN WRONG! AND NO ONE SHOULD DO IT! NOT EVER!

And that's all there is so far (not counting the five earlier pages that I had to cut, so definitely track down MARVEL ASSISTANT-SIZED SPECTACULAR # 2 for the full story!).

But if you, like me (you really, really like me) want to see more, cast your vote here!

Perhaps you would prefer the design from the issue's cover:

title or description

The design is arguably better, but the drawing doesn't come close to capturing the character as depicted in the actual story (who is rather more interesting and adorable than this somewhat-generic Girlactus).

Yeah, I agree- the costume's a little less lolita-esque, but the art style doesn't fit the story. The interior artwork much better fits Adam's storytelling style.

Why is Artemis hanging out with Luke Cage?

I think that's Elsa Bloodstone..A rather boring Buffy clone, until Warren Ellis got his hands on her for Nextwave. Which also turned Machine Man into a fun character.

This is one of the rare occasions where I actually prefer the anime-style art. Veeeery rare.
