Again, thanks for posting this. I didn't know there was a hardback reprint of these stories, how tempting.
The characterization is wonderful here, nothing too exaggerated. Patsy and Buzz are only briefly miffed at each other before they realize what happened with the cards. And the scene where the family is extra-nice to Mickey, rather than using harshness, is oddly touching. He feels guilty and confesses freely, showing he's not that bad.
