The History of Jason Todd (Part 3) -- Teen Titans Go!
Okay, so we know that Jason started his time as Robin as a bit of a brat. But his character evolved a BIT differently in other comics. For example, while Jason in Batman was rude, scowling, kind of a know-it-all, and increasingly violent... in the short time he was on the Teen Titans he wasn't so bad at all! (Donna Troy though? She comes off pretty poorly...)
The New Teen Titans #20:
So the Titans are currently being lead by Donna Troy, who is so flustered and distracted that she nearly crashes their jet into the World Trade Center. I'm just... not going to comment on that. O__O
However, too much time together never bodes well for Teen Titans, right? Oh the drama! The violence! Soon everyone is down or at each other's throats--
(Op Ed moment: See, THIS is why Jason and Donna should have had a more complicated relationship in Countdown. Not that ANYONE had complex relationships in Countdown but... sigh...)
Quick trivia -- Teen Titans has been kinder to Jason Todd than "Batman" in another way too. Animation! No TV show has ever mentioned Jason Todd's existence, except for a quick moment in the TT cartoon. It's a blink-and-you-miss-it moment when the Titans are discussing "Who is Red X":
Awe, look at the cwut widdle wobbin! Anyway, see the next post for more not-so-nice Jason and "The Death of Filipe"
