Well, it's an interesting take on the Dead Lesbian trope.

It still irritates the crap outa me that we have yet another reversion to the "classic" holder of a legacy identity.

And Drax has certainly seemed strangely garrulous these past couple of issues.

Whereas I was more annoyed at the pointless "Killing of established character and giving name and gimmick of to someone who already HAD bloody powerful weapons and no reason to take the name in the first place."

Yeah, seriously. Phyla had her own thing going. The bands did nothing to compliment her character and we lost a perfectly fine character to get there!

Well, it looks like Phyla won't be Quasar anymore. Maybe the Lesbian Space Dragon Knight, or LSDK for short?

Phyla's first kiss?

Question. Is this the first time that Phyla-Vell and Heather Douglas actually kiss each other in-panel? I've seen them embrace like crazy and kneel their heads together, but I've never seen them kiss.

And in regards to Phyla making a deal with the dragon, I'm a little concerned. I hope Phyla knows what she's doing, because if this turns out to be another tale of tragic romance, I'm so not going to be amused. WE'VE BEEN THERE ALREADY with this couple! But in regards to Phyla's justification in making a deal with the dragon, it's not that bad. Just look at what Peter Parker did when he made a deal with the devil to end his marriage. I'd say that what Phyla did is a step up when it comes to dealing with dark demons.

She didn't make a deal with the Dragion, I don't think, that's just what the other characters think (for some reason); the ending says she made a deal with Oblivion.

I mean, if she made a deal with the Dragon, why did she have to cut her way out of the Dragon's stomach?

My mistake. Substitute every 'dragon' thing I say with 'oblivion'.
