Ah yes, Bill Jaaska -- quite possibly the worst Titans artist ever.
He also did some issues of Mike Grell's Sable, back when Marv W was writing it.
(Supposedly Wolfman and Jaaska were pals -- which is about the only logical reason I can think of for Jaaska getting ANY work.)
The Titans were by far my favorite team back when these issues were coming out, but the art from issue #100 and beyond was so eye-bleedingly awful that I dropped the book like a hot rock.
It's really too bad they couldn't have held on Tom Grummett a while longer. Mullets aside, I liked his work on the 'Titans Hunt' storyline and the costume designs he introduced. However, it seemed like he was the only artist who could make all of them work.
To make matters worse, you can practically feel Wolfman running out of ideas as you turn the pages. Wolfman and Perez deserve a great deal of praise for creating the Titans franchise, which for quite some time was DC's most successful comic by a wide margin, but by this time it had become painfully apparent that Marv had stayed too long at the proverbial dance.
