Heh. No, I understand the impulse completely, and I don't feel like you're being confrontational. I hang out here because I love a good argument. (Not fight, mind, but a lot of my favorite posters are ones who disagree with me a lot.)
I just find it interesting to be lumped in with the Bruce-haters. Not unfair - I hate on the guy a lot, and am the absolute first to call him on his extremely bad behavior. But I have a really complicated relationship with him as a character, which springs from the fact that I used to really adore him. He got me into superheroes - DCAU!Bats was my first one. I love Bronze Age Batman. I love Dark Knight Batman. I even really like DCU Batman, when he's being written by, say, Gail Simone or Devin Grayson or Paul Dini. But Batgoddery and Batdickery make my teeth itch, and they tend to have the greatest impact on my favorite characters (Oracle, Nightwing, Batgirl, Huntress, Spoiler), so for me... I hate him *because* I love him. It's like watching your uncle turn into a sloppy drunk. He's supposed to be *better* than this.
