Have to disagree here on Superman. Clark will create the greatest superhero legacy in the entire DCU, full stop. The Legion will be modeled after his exploits, his heroism, and character. Much of the DCU knows about Clark, mostly as "The Kryptonian", even if in a vague manner. Superman is, and has always been considered the great statesman of the superheroes. J'onn and the Flash are perhaps more beloved by more people - Clark is iconic.
More than any other superhero, Clark represents that perfect thought: "Now everything is going to be okay." That's why I think he represents a more hope-filled icon than any other other, at least in the way that DC has pushed it.
I haven't read Trinity so I can't comment on that.
