Tim is helping Conner find one of Luthor's labs.

Conner uses his tactile telekinesis to open the door, and realizes that Luthor hasn't been there in a while.

Meanwhile, Luthor tells Brainiac to drop him off in Smallville.

	When I saw this image, I thought it would HAVE to be slashier than the actual meeting. Wrong again! :) Nice to see them talking like reasonable human beings about the shit Tim's had to deal with, and Connor calling Tim on his self-flagellation thing (Metaphorical rather than literal, but the way he's been written lately...) 	Oh, boys. I ship you now harder than ever, especially when you look so damned pretty! Seriously, Tim should always look like this--a bit on the small side, with longish floppy hair and a still young-looking face. Also, I think dying and coming back may have made Conner a touch more perceptive, he's really spot on here with the Red Robin thing IMO. (Reply to this)

Stephanie Brown and Jack Drake died specifically *because* Tim was Robin. It was fascinating that Tim would run himself ragged to "undo the death" that he wasn't specifically "connected" to.

There's no mention yet of Time Travel. Maybe Tim wants to keep that to himself until he is (a) absolutely certain time travel was involved and (b) feels he can't find/rescue Bruce without Connor.

Lex Luthor doesn't consider himself a bad person. (Aside from all the murders, I guess.) This may become a matter of what Lex considers "good" vs. what Connor considers "good."

Speaking as someone who's not particularly a fan of Conner nor Tim--and subsequently, has had no interest in their friendship--I thought this was absolutely wonderful.

They actually sound like people, like real friends talking to one another, not just characters being put through the plot wringer of soap-opera superhero storytelling. Maybe I'm just feeling weird from the sheer amounts of green tea I've been consuming today, but dang it, I was actually moved by Tim's "I am so screwed up right now" moment.

You just don't see enough scenes like this in superhero comics, where the focus seems so much more on ANGST and ACTION rather than character moments like these.

So I take it the whole DCU is aware of Jason's bad fashion choices, huh.

And I'm aware I'm raining on the parade here, but as heartwarming as cute interaction is, some parts of this exchange fall flat. "You're not a cowl kinda guy." The Titans have gone to a bad future where Tim was Batman. Maybe I'm being unfair to Geoff Johns, but I'm getting sick and tired of the 'Jason = bad Robin who was bad' angle being played over again and again.

It's cute that Kon calls Tim's costume 'classic Robin'. It's a little heartbreaking that Tim maybe wants to become Robin again when Bruce returns. ): Oh, Timmy.

Francis Manapul draws an incredibly pretty Tim.

Not really fond of the whole black and white morality thing DC has going on lately. Many writers have shown there to be good in Luthor before. I, myself, personally find Lex more interesting when he's bad and good. It adds a lot a depth to his character to have him be a man who's crazy/evil enough to hang out with the Joker--and survive!--and yet be a guy who many people have reason to believe is a good person because he has helped them out in some way.

Evil characters are a dime a dozen, but the real Lex Luthor is something else.

Aw man, this was so sweet it's almost a health-hazard. The art is beautiful, the dialogue is amazing, it's just so heart-warming. Aww.

And look at the little things. The tiny change in Tim's expression that's barely noticable, when Conner says that he believes him. And the shot of Superboy with his hands clasped awkwardly sitting next to his best friend who is falling apart.

I... think I'm gonna end up buying this.

And by gosh the two of them look so *pretty*.

(oh, and I notice that Superbitch Prime is back next issue. Are we all just ignoring that? I'd like to)

Next issue is the Blackest Night issue, right. Has there been any signs or hints of a BL Tana Moon? It will be BS if they don't, just like how Bart seem to forgotten about Carol Bucklen. Nothing is more annoying that to have the stories from the characters' solo series to be forgotten for a long period of time. Which is bad fo rme, cause I am sort of expecting Con to meet up with Cadmus again. They only reappeared in Countdown, so it doesn't count.
