You know, considering Marvel's current standards and the recent X-Factor thing, you're probably right.

That or a bomb, cleverly disguised as a baby.

Don't forget Tigra and her pending litter of plot devices!

I think we agreed she'd put them up for foster care only for the government to take them and train her Skrull kitty babies as weapons of fairly medium destruction.

Poor Greer. There's no way that she's going to get out of this situation without taking either an emotional or a physical beating (or, with Marvel's recent track record, both). Kidnapped by Skrulls so that they can extract the baby? Brought in by Osborn, put in a cage with some cans of tuna, and experimented on for the purposes of producing a perfect hybrid of Skrull and either baseline human or Tigra-ized!human? Termination of pregnancy via a kick to the stomach and/or surgical procedure with attendant angst and regret about her past romantical escapades with a subsequent new vow of chastity? The possibilities are endless!

(And since Greer's powers have a strongly mystical component, it'll be interesting to see if Slott takes a shot at dancing around with technobabble trying to explain what kind of powers a Tigra/Skrull baby would have. I'm betting we get something along the lines of if the baby was conceived while Greer was in her Tigra form, the powers somehow, through abject violations of even Marvel!genetics, get passed on to the baby.)

I didn't think Slott was writing Initiative any more? In fact, isn't it due to be cancelled?

Chances are it'll be forgotten about and never mentioned again. (Hopefully?)

It's currently written by Gage, who was previously the co-writer with Slott.
