Obviously, he should be handling the baby; Ninjas can't catch the baby while he's on fire.
All he needs now is a knife eye attack and he'll be set!

the pervasiveness of Mr. Hasting's oeuvre never fails to amaze me.
Larry doesn't seem particularly evil for a villain.
Oh, he's not evil. He's a henchman. It's a living, you know?
In Venture Brothers canon, henchmen are mostly just complete losers. You know, the kind of people who can't get a better job than being yelled at by psychopaths and putting themselves in constant danger.
On the other hand, at least they have a good union. Heh.
Considering that the "evil" plan in the original movie was to give everyone on earth superpowers, I'd say that the Incredibles universe has an odd definition of evil.
No, the evil plan of the original movie was to murder every superhero, then thousands of ordinary people to make Syndrome look like a big hero when he (being the only 'hero' left) stops the dangers that he set out in the first place.
Syndrome spouts some bullshit about how 'once he's finished having his fun', he'll give his technology to regular people, but even if he does plan to do that it's not to raise ordinary people, it's to 'lower' the Supers (who, if Syndrome had succeeded, would all be dead, anyway), which is just another example of Syndrome's fucked up worldview.
If Syndrome really wanted to give everyone superpowers as his actual plan - whether that was for the selfish reason of tearing down those that already have them, or the selfless reason of raising ordinary humans - he'd just do it, he wouldn't waste his time, energy, genius and money on supervillainy, then mock superheroics.
Oh, so much motto.
The guy murdered many innocent people just to get ego-stroked. How the hell is he not evil?
Pixar's villains are usually pretty mild (Sid was only evil if you totally accept the movie's narrative, Randall was your standard office schemer, AUTO was just doing his job, etc.), but Syndrome and then Charles Muntz were really a step up. They were more like the hardcore traditional Disney villains, who killed people and plotted real evil.
Do Larry's fire powers actually burn anything?
I mean, obviously, he'd be immune, and Jak-Jak's...Jak-Jak, so he probably eats fire for dessert.
But he doesn't seem to be doing anything to the surroundings, either...
It apparently burned off his nose...

More problems need to be solved with "this awesome baby I found."
You could change this into a Kim Possible story without much effort. Just change alien virus to Doctor Drakken screwup and the baby to Hana Stoppable. |
