The Torch
I have always liked the "Mad" thinker. He is as smart as Dr. Doom and MODOK, but with out the meglomania. A loner who lives only by his own standards.

It's great to see the Golden age Vision again.

If all of it is this good I'm picking up the trade.

I bolted on Avengers/Invaders cause I thought the same, That and the speed at which the Marvel universe is moving a miniseries that takes a year to come out was too much. I love the originl Human Torch and Toro. I'll have to see if I can scan the FF issue where The Thinker kill Toro off.

The question is, which origin will they use for Aarkus now? Is he an alien or an ancient Tibetan lama?

I just love that Marvel is recalling that it has a golden age of heroes.

Well, to be fair compared to say, DC or Fawcett the Marvel/Timely characters were very minor and mostly forgotten (outside of Cap, Torch and Subby, maybe).

While I'm a fan of Marvel's Golden Age characters I can't say that I like so many of them being around in the modern day.

ok, however I thinkm Marvel does a better job explaining it than DC.

There was a story in which Doom praises the Thinker's brilliance, saying the Thinker is the only one person who has been able to hack into everybody's computer systems, except for Doom's. And Doom knows this because he hacked into the Thinker's.

Was it the Thinker or Modok Doom had build a robot Bucky that fooled CAP for a time ?

Damn - for a moment there, I thought it was the original Torch himself come back from the dead. Oh, well - only a matter of time, I'm sure. After all, the wonderful thing about androids is that when they're blown apart you just have to reassemble them...
Incidentally, I love the way the Human Torch and Toro look when they're on fire like that. A faceless burning man flying around burning things would be incredibly intimidating in real life.

Next Issue. The Mad Thinker has him dug up at the end of this issue.
