Mister Terrific is dead

Aw, man. I'm guessing he'll be coming back as a zombie in Blackest Night?

See, that's just bizarre, since he's totally alive on the tie-in mini's cover, fighting the BL'd oldschool Mister Terrific.

Is that supposed to be Doctor Fate on the right on that last page? Where's his helmet (and cape, etc.)?

Worse than that: they just killed the atheist guy.

I'm waiting to be angry until whether or not I know this sticks.

I assume the entire internet was cool with the black atheist being the one on the team that was killed.

I think that depends on whether the entire internet actually believes "killing" him was a gesture any more meaningful than Lex promising to be nice to Superman. I mean, death is cheap at best in comics to begin with, but a death in the middle of Blackest Night? I can't be irritated, I'm too busy rolling my eyes in disbelief that Willingham and Sturges actually expect me to take this seriously.

Mr. Terrific had to die so DC could replace him with another blond fictional great-grandson of FDR - it's DC's way of showing diversity (hey, it worked with Batgirl). *kidding*

Also - Eclipso, the Spectre's arch-enemy, a cosmic power with few equals, now just a paid goon? WTF?

Yeah, it feels like Willingham just picked a bunch of random villains.

Why is Icicle not with the Injustice Society? Why is Eclipso, of all people, afraid of Dr. Fate? Why the hell is anyone even listening to Magog?
So many questions, so little possibility of a satisfying answer.

And I'd be more upset about Mr. Terrific "dying" if I'd believe for a second that he actually is.

In conclusion: hackjob, hackjob!

Since being returned to his former host Eclipso is way depowered compared to the guy who could take out half the DCU like he used to be so he's trying to avoid cosmic people like Spectre or Dr. Fate (who he doesn't know isn't as powerful as the prior ones)

Helllooo, is that JSA CLassified storyline involving Icicle, the Wizard etc. stealing Prometheus' cosmic key from the JSA brownstone finally coming back into play?

In which case we should be seeing more of a certain red suited Lovecraftian gentleman quite soon. ^^

WTF? Eclipso said that? Seriously?

Magog, reminding me of everything I hated about 90's marvel since...well, always. I know that was the intention but it isn't improving any.

And why the hell does Powergirl need help moving in equipment exactly? O_o Seriously?
