Some Shady Goodness...
There was a plea for more Shade. How can I not refuse showing off such a wonderful character.

Scans are not mine, but Espanolbot's. And this is a plea to him. Post more Shade. I know you got the scans you big Shade fan I saved a ton of them when you posted them on Scans Daily, originally. So please show them why the Shade owned. ;)

For those wondering what's going on, well this is going on when the event, Genesis happened. For those who haven't fully repressed the 90s event from their minds. It was Darkseid mucking around with something called the Godwave, and thus superheroes on Earth feel the effects from that (basically the Godwave was the deus ex machina that gave a ton of heroes they're powers. WHAT?! Don't worry DC dropped and forgot it. You should do the same.).

Damn that was awesome. Again all credit goes to Espanolbot for these scans.

I'd like to think that Van Gogh saw Shade using his powers in this particular way one day and promptly went "YES THAT!" and ran off to paint Starry Night.

Man, the Shade just gets cooler every time I see him.

It seems really obvious a thing to do, but has anyone ever thought of relating the Shade's origins to Gaiman's Sandman? He has similarities to Doctor Destiny/John Dee with the jewel-obsession, and he also likes imprisoning people in "The Darkness"...

The Shade came before the Darkness, if you were kind of referencing the Top Cow character. Even this version came out about five or six years before that guy in the Witchblade comics.

I was referring to the blackened void which Dream imprisons Glob and Brute inside during "The Doll's House".

Ahh right, that probably came before.

It might be where the Shade gets his powers though. :)

Shade was such a cool character. That's why I hated how they used him in the JL toon. He would have torn those guys to pieces. Meh. :/

That was based more on the original 40s Shade rather than the James Robinson redo. :)

Ah, cool. ^^

I'll see what I have and I'll try and post it. :) Currently I'm kinda limited in my Starman trades as I've sold most of them so I could upgrade to the Absolute editions, but I'll see what I haven't posted.

Thank you. It's because of you that I got into this character and started getting Starman. :)

Hot damn.

You know, for some reason, he reminds me of that Tolkien character...Tom Bombadil.
