Dunno why it took Marvel so long to come up with this...
"Women of Marvel" costumes/stripper outfits, just in time for halloween/brass pole night.

Fashion show from ComicCon.

Well, that explains a lot about Jan's death. Can't have a character who's an actual designer running around in full-length body suits (skin tight as they are) when you want to get away with stripper skirts and short petticoats. [/halfsarcasm]

And the sound on my laptop is malfunctioning, so I couldn't hear a thing in the video. Should I be grateful?

It could be worse.

It's not the Emma Frost costume for kids.

(yes, one exists, no, I don't have a link)

I love how the Emma Frost one is the only one that looks just like what the character wears in the comics. [/sarcasm] ...Actually, the Captain America one is kind of cute. Like in a "if Steve Rogers' full first name was Stephanie instead of Steven, she may appear on propaganda posters, if certainly not in battle, in something like this minus the random cleavage cut-out" sort of way. I want her boots!

I guess I'd be okay with inaccurate cutesy/sexy costumes if they actually looked... good. These look so tacky and cheap and unappealing. The cap one is kinda sorta okay, the rest are ew. Why does good design sense seem to go out the window when it comes to outfits that show lots of skin?

Offering alternate lady costumes that are actually, yanno, accurate would also be nice.

I'm disappointed they replaced Emma's tights with a miniskirt. "No, no, we must make Emma Frost's costume show more skin!"

There are soooo many female cosplayers who could walk circles around these designs.

Is it too much to ask for Halloween costumes that I can actually wear?
Not a model.
Also, I am a FANGIRL, want costumes that look somewhat like what is worn in the comics.
Emma Frost outfit = good.
Spider-girl outfit = me want to throw stuff.

That sound you hear is not Jan rolling over in her grave. That sound is the sound of this level of fail actually catapulting Jan back to full, natural life, just so that she can design actual faux-superhero costumes that are not made of randomly shiny plastic and, also, cleavage cut-out on Cap's STAR? Have you no SHAME?! (Answer: no.)

You know, I'm getting the feeling that they think the first dress is actually based on the black Spidey costume rather than the costume of Spider-Woman. Who had it first. So why not just call it a Spider Woman dress instead of the silly sounding Black Spider Girl?

Ha, Emmas is basically the same.

The regular Spider-girl one is possibly the ugliest piece of clothing I have ever seen.

Remember Rose Wilson's comment about Supergirl's and Miss Martian's costumes? "Those skirts are ridiculous combat gear."

Well, that applies to here, too. I srsly hate these. As a girl, I just want a badass costume without them being slutty. (Had to make my own GL costume last year, for that matter. Pfft).

I . . . buh . . . just . . . what?

I mean . . . what? There are skimpy female comic book character outfits. Why would you . . . give "Black Spider Girl" or Black Cat a skirt? Or female Captain America? What? What? Someone explain this to me, because all I can think here is visions of the ridiculous MJ-doing-laundry-sexily statue. It's just . . .

The people in charge at Marvel need to meet real women.
