Save Atlantis RPG

Dobler's is holding a Dart Tournament this weekend starting Saturday at 11am. The original idea was one of those axe-throwing things, but I want the bar to be standing by the time we crown a winner.

For you super-powered, extra agility and precision... types, there are two brackets. One for you all and another for us regular folk. Then the winners can face off against each other.

Sign up sheets for both brackets are on the wall by the bar.

As both a warrior for ages untold and one here now too, who's been through some sick shit and watched cared for ones go through it as well, I can tell they are trying to break our spirit and our morale. That's what the coma dreams were about, the kidnappings, the intake sabotage, and that's what that arena is about.

I was once broken and my little pieces backflipped into a deep dark hole out of which I climbed literal ages later, with a little help from my friends. Now I am the spiteful, contrary sort of shit that won't go back down there unless I damn well want to and I don't want to. They can't break me, I've been broken. It's the good thing about a really strong, deep sort of pain is it renders you sort of invincible after a fashion.

I know I'll probably piss some of you off even saying this shit, I can't tell you how to deal with your own trauma. I'm not trying to. But I can tell you in a way I get it, and I can ask you not to let them win. Do it for the greater good, yourself, your loved ones, out of spite even. Hold onto each other, cute animals, vices, whatever you have to. But don't let them break you.

I'm Natasha Romanoff, your Lieutenant Commander. One thing that I believe in is communication. If you're having a problem, you need to let someone know because you can't fix something if you don't know what it is and our teams are small enough that if something is wrong, it can really screw up a mission.Talk to your team leader and if that doesn't resolve the problem, come to me. I believe in teamwork and I want us to be able to trust each other because without trust, someone can end up hurt or even worse, dead, when we're in the field.

A MISSION!

Report to base for briefing, bring your gear and hug your loved ones. I do not know how long we will be gone, but consider it wise to expect at least a week from past mission knowledge. Details will be provided upon arrival and I have doughnuts.

I'm glad the weather has decided to clear up and the sun plans to be out for a few days.

Cheers, everyone! You've probably seen the Quidditch teams posted by now. I'm Tracey, and I've been selected as your captain. I'll be acting as keeper for the team, but I also had a brief run as a chaser early on in school.

We'll start up practice later this week, but what does everyone say to getting together tonight or tomorrow for dinner and drinks? Some of you I know, some of you I don't, so I'd like to have a casual night out with the team to help us all get more acquainted with one another before we kick up our brooms.

While we're there, we can discuss a team name/mascot and colors. I think it may be a good idea to nix the idea of going with any of the main Hogwarts house colors - green, red, blue, yellow - just to make things easier. Using any of the secondary colors would be fine by me. The same goes for steering away from the mascots: snake, eagle/raven, badger, and lion. Anything else is up for grabs! Toss out those ideas, and we can move forward with majority vote on both.

PLOT: Kára has lost her memory of who she is. This started probably mid-morning and she would have been seen walking around looking at things oddly and completely confused. She'd play off like she was fine, but she is pretty clueless. She'd also not really admit outloud how confused she is.
