Hey so- are some of the April Fools Day pranks still laying around or did someone forget to pick up some invisible piece of magic? Cause I just twisted my ankle getting stuck in-- IDK. An invisible box with superglue at the bottom? I can't go anywhere and Dol can't get to me.

Well, as retreats go, I guess it beats Utah.

I am placing notice in support of Lieutenant Commander Kirk's resolution to "fuck work" today. A long weekend upon the beach sounds rather relaxing and that is where I will be until our Quidditch match this weekend, should any require my assistance. I would prefer that assistance being something fun or relaxing, should there be any choice in the matter.

Should anyone wish to help with a fire, perhaps we can roast meat to share.

So anybody know if I'm gonna get a new team? This training by myself thing is for the birds. And Gabe I can't get rusty. Also I'm bored out of my skin. Gimme somebody cranky to annoy.

If this don't apply to you none, I'm sorry for making you read it. Reyes did all the boss stuff so I ain't got a clue who to talk to about this. To make it up to ya, here's a picture of my new sidekick.

Bethany, I think I'm close. What little testing I've done using the small samples of lyrium I have on hand have shown promise. Your blood contains a very pervasive biological agent, which is what you've come to know as the taint. It's stubborn and invasive, but treatable. I've attempted numerous approaches, but working with the trace amounts of lyrium combined with my nanites has shown real promise of success.

With your permission, I'd like to see about pulling in a person or two with skills in organic chemistry. I believe I can synthesize lyrium, or at least the processed version since we don't have the raw material to work with. I've narrowed down a number of properties from my tests and I fully believe we can duplicate the effects with a bit of experimentation and an infusion of your world's fade magic. Can any of your companions from your world harness the magic of the fade? If so, I would like their help as well.

I will also be communicating with the rest of the medical team as we get closer to refining the process, as a skilled team will be key to beating this. Please get back to me with any questions or feedback on my data above.

Y'all, I ain't gonna sit around lookin up the meanin of my name cause I already know I'm a damn angel here to keep ya stitched up and on yer feet. That ain't always the easiest thing to do since so many of y'all have this wild notion of gettin yer teeth kickin in on the regular, but folk like me'll always been round to take care of ya. Well, I ain't never been much for hugs that don't end up leading to someone's wallet, but something just overcame me today. I saw them white hats headed to training and something just bubbled up in me, like when you drink too much Burnett's and have to hurl, but it was warm and loving instead of acidic and nose-curling. I couldn't help it. I had to hug them fools. They're gonna be the first to die all hero-like and that's dumb as rocks, but my little business here sure does appreciate the cannon fodder.

So Atlantis is always full of random shenanigans and animals and rhymes, right? Never a dull moment around here. I think I could get used to this.

Looks like the animal shelter is having a "walk a dog" thing in the park all day - figured it was for a good cause, and I was already on my run. Got paired up with a handsome little lady who wanted to play in the snow.

Next thing I know, I'm adopting a dog. This is what happens when Ana isn't here to tell me not to do something. Gonna need name suggestions, only ever kept fish before and I just kept giving them ranks. 'Captain''s the only thing I've got so far.

I feel a little bit like I was asking for something like this to happen by "retiring" from superheroics (can you ever really retire from that???) - like the universe is laughing at me, all you thought you were done? SURPRISE. But I guess if the multiverse has to surprise me like this, at least it also brought my fiancé here AND this is a place we've never been before. Atlantis is so cool.



Oh, right. I'm Teddy. I would've said hi earlier but I missed Valentine's Day and had to make it up to Billy. 😏 (Billy Kaplan, he is the previously mentioned fiancé. I really like that word.) What else am I supposed to say? I like Pokémon and A Song of Ice and Fire, I'm a weird alien hybrid and my families hate each other I grew up in New York City, and since we're staying, I guess I'm going to get a Real Job (!!!) and actually have time to learn how to cook more. Watch out, world.

First order of business, thank you for a grand time last evening. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and Louis tired himself out from all the dancing so well that he slept in this morning.

Second order; I can tell by now that I'm not the only one bursting into song, but I apologize nonetheless for interrupting training. The only thing I can imagine is that my Breck-self allowed that one to come through.

At this rate, Athos is going to lock me in a room and never let me out.
