After lunch I appeared to begin suffering from a rather strange condition in which my forearms and hands have swollen to frankly ridiculous sizes and thus I cannot train or do much of anything so I am directing myself to medical in hopes of fixing whatever this is posthaste. Apologies to my new team.

Interesting story:

I was taking a walk, working on a project problem, when I "felt" someone behind me.

That someone was a polar bear. A polar bear that followed me down the beach and wouldn't leave me alone until I scratched behind its ears.

Atlantis is a hell of a place.

it appears my good friend Sara Ryder and her "complicated beau" have departed. I don't believe she would have left without telling me beforehand so I must conclude it wasn't by choice. Either way, this saddens me. I shall miss her. I daresay I shall miss her frustrating Mr. Vidal as well.

I suppose people have a drink in these times? I'm not too opposed to a glass of Port by the hearth in honour of dear Sara, if anyone cares to join.

Looks like the animal shelter is having a "walk a dog" thing in the park all day - figured it was for a good cause, and I was already on my run. Got paired up with a handsome little lady who wanted to play in the snow.

Next thing I know, I'm adopting a dog. This is what happens when Ana isn't here to tell me not to do something. Gonna need name suggestions, only ever kept fish before and I just kept giving them ranks. 'Captain''s the only thing I've got so far.

I was out at the shops and within minutes of my seeing my seeing them both the bear and the cow mascots from two shops came to life and they are violent. They are quite large.

All day I heard no mention of other people's stuffed animals coming to life. Though one did not belong to me. I cannot make heads or tails of this so here I am, asking if anyone has heard something.

It is quite sad having to shoot such adorable creatures, I would rather it not happen again. Incidentally, if anyone is good at mending gunshot wounds in stuffed toys of various proportions I need your services.

I'm looking for volunteers for research regarding the testing of and implementation of a restorative serum from my world that will affect my powers. My job is to try to utilize my powers (pain, and removal of) on you while under various doses of said serum. Your job is to give me a quantifiable number describing the sensation and/or lack thereof.

Before we get started, I'll need to run a few tests to get an idea of your pain tolerance and sensitivity. At no point will I produce any amount of pain in you more intense than a persistent headache (around 3-4 on the pain scale out of 10), and the pain will dissipate as soon as you quantify it. Likewise, all numbness I produce in you will be temporary. I understand that this will be uncomfortable, but it's for a good cause, and all you people are heroes and should eat up good deeds like catnip.

No one under the age of 21. No one with active reoccurring pain such as a badly-healed injury or arthritis. I won't pay you, but I might spring for doughnuts. Please leave me a comment here with questions or to volunteer. I have one open spot (Leonardo da Vinci, Penny Adiyodi, Evie Frye).

Are you going to be in Atlantis during the next few weeks? Another incident is brewing. Let's not have mistletoe waiting for my return to consciousness this time.

Guess what I found! It's almost as good as a dragon. In ten days time, we will be enjoying a holiday here in Atlantis! For those of you who, like me, aren't familiar with many holidays, it is a day dedicated to the power of love, and it's called Valentines Day. Or... Valentine's Day. I'm honestly not sure. I did some research on it, and it appears as if Valentine was some sort of holy man in his day, but honestly all that bit was a lot of reading and I got bored so you'll have to look up the rest of that if you'd like some history because I definitely didn't stick with it. But the holiday dedicated to St. Valentine is wonderful! It's a celebration of love, which I think is so essential. In dark and uncertain times, there's nothing quite so reassuring as knowing that there's someone or someones out there waiting for you to get home, is there?

From what I can tell, the main colours of this holiday are pink and red. There are lots of images of lovers gazing into another's eyes, beautiful small paper artworks with embroidered lace, and somewhat bafflingly, what appear to be winged babies wearing poorly-constructed diapers shooting people. I'm not sure what that's about. Perhaps it's to remind us that life is fleeting and that we should love while we have the opportunity before babies kill us with tiny arrows? I've also discovered through the research that wasn't historical and dull that people are supposed to give one another chocolates or cinnamon candies on Valentines Day, love letters, roses (or other flowers), and send anonymous letters of love to their crushes. So if you're single, this is still a holiday that you can benefit from!

I'm very excited about Valentines Day. It seems optimistic and fun and lighthearted, and with the days being so short and spring seemingly so far away, I could use the distraction.

Well. There's no two ways about it; I'm stuck some sort of sweet-scented bubble. It's sticky and cloying and limits my movement. I tried using my blade on it, and only succeeded in nearly ruining my blade.
