Call me crazy, but I'm beginning to like the frigid weather. It makes coming inside and cozying up that much nicer... but then again, I'm also probably going to burn down the island with the amount of candles I have going at any given time for the hygge. The worst part is I have yet to find a good pair of gloves that lets me practice archery without freezing my fingers off. Any with magic on their side have any ideas?

hey so sorry if I've been a dick the last week. I keep putting off talking about this because of Christmas, but apparently you can wake up with a bunch of added memories? A year+ worth, even. 0/10 do not recommend.

I'm still going to keep learning how to punch and stab things, but I can shoot things a little better now.

Also I had collected Serena's bones back home and kept them in a shoebox and the advent calendar gave them to me so, that's a thing? I'm 18 now so you can't ground me, Victor.

So who wants to help me move from the hotel to, let's see. The shared home of I'm guessing a nice married couple and Charlie Weasley (who is now officially drafted into the Quidditch League, that's what you get). Just kidding, I don't have anything to move. Wow, that's kind of depressing.

Yeah, I've decided to stay. I was offered a position here that I really couldn't turn down. You're looking at (reading from) the new Director of Sports and Recreation. I'm going to be working with Benjy Fenwick and Katie Bell, my new Quidditch Ambassadors (I can assign titles, I think) to get a Quidditch League started, so expect sign-ups soon! I'll also be working on getting some other sports started. I've got a list. I'm checking it twice.

~~God, how do I ev~~ ~~You don't know me, but could you distract me anyw~~ Anyone especially knowledgeable about music here? Not like proper uni-educated or anything, just well-versed in the popular sort? I've realised I'm going to have to start over with my record collection and I'm sure there's a mountain of things here I've never heard. I like rock and pop music for the most part, but I'm willing to try anything once. Even if it's odd, honestly. My favourites are in the Queen, Abba, and Earth, Wind & Fire range, but don't let that box you in as far as suggestions go. I can whip up some potions for you or charm your hair or something? I never get to offer that sort of thing to strangers at home.

Oh, and I'm Marlene. If you know me already, sorry I haven't come by to bother you. ~~I'm not~~ ~~I don't~~ I will soon, I promise. Just need to get out of me own head a bit first.

Did anyone else get an advent calendar in their room? I haven't opened today's door yet; strange presents appearing out of nowhere are usually of the apocalyptic variety back home. Unless they're from Santa. And with our track record, he could be evil too? Anyway. On the off-chance that this isn't a cursed relic from an ancient coven, thank you, it's really pretty. I know that Christmas decorations can be kind of tacky but I love all the pretty twinkly lights and the wrapping paper. Even the big trees that shed everywhere. ~~We haven't done much with Christmas since Mom d~~ I guess this place will probably have weird magic for the holidays, right? That seems to be Atlantis's raison d'être.

~~I'm rambling. Does anyone have anything that could help me slee~~ I've been quiet since I got here. I swear I'm not trying to be like, the antisocial girl, but the training here is no joke, and... I kind of want to focus on that. It's funny, at home, I had high school to kind of dovetail social stuff with work and I'm getting into a bad habit of just hermitting it up and... okay, this is pathetic, we're going to be better than that, so:

Hello. I'm Allison Argent, and I've... done the new girl speech a lot. I arrived here a few days ago from Beacon Hills, California, where I was a junior in high school. I was waiting for things to settle down before introducing myself, but it's beginning to look like every day is a new adventure here, and bears are better than pheromones, so. Hello.

I'm going to be a field agent here. My focus is on archery, but I'd like to learn more across the board, particularly in self-defense. ~~My form was apparently sloppy enough to get me killed an~~ I'd appreciate anyone who wants to train with me. I'm human - no powers or abilities - but I'm very willing to put in the time and effort to learn new techniques.
