By now, you all will have received the news that we've lost Jim Captain Kirk. Command has asked me to step up and fill his position and I've accepted. With the reorg this morning, we're all going to be getting used to a change, so I will be scheduling trainings over the next couple of weeks, both one-on-one and as teams to help everyone get used to each other and prepare for whatever your next mission ends up being.

If you have questions or concerns, my door is always open to you.

Tomorrow we'll head back to the city and give a debrief. In the meantime, thanks for your work. Here's for Slayer healing getting me back to normal pretty well, but I'm thinking I'll be on crutches for the debrief tomorrow.

We've got our base started up, I want us to do some reconnaissance and figure out precisely where we can help the best.

Observation and fitting in where we can is going to be one of our best opportunities more than likely, but we need to know the neighbourhood and understand dynamics here. I'm wondering about doing teams and shifts so that we can keep an eye on things, but I'm open to suggestions and volunteers. Throw them at me.
