Saiyuki 100 Word Challenge

Title: Something Goku This Way Comes

It almost matched Gojyo’s hair.

The sticky red substance trickled down his cheek, staining his clothes as it fell to the earth.

Hakkai stared in shock, chi balanced between his palms. There was nothing he could do.

Sanzo was stunned into silence and touched a hand to his robes. They too were stained.

Goku laughed maniacally. He had gotten them all, snuck on them when their guard was down.

“Monkey,” Gojyo growled. He wiped chunks of tomato off his shoulders. “The next time you pelt me with food I’m going to throw you in the river.”

“I’ll help,” Sanzo growled.

Fate. The Sanzo-ikkou knows all about it for 10 points.  Kou-tachi and Homura-tachi are masters of their fate.

The prompt for this week is #20 - Red

This will be the first of our color prompts for the next 4 weeks.  Your task will be to take the color and weave it into your drabble in some way.

For this week, red could be Gojyo's hair or eyes, blood from a wound, a color in the campfire, the color of an article of clothing, an apple.
