OOC

Here is what I have for each of my characters.

Psyche - Psyche's only been with Eros, and now with Anteros. She's good friends with Melpomene, but that's about it. She rarely leaves the mountain, and only then to get chocolate. She gardens, paints and reads. She particularly proud of the Wisteria in her garden and mixes that smell with Vanilla to make her signature scent.

Styx - Styx has slept with Hades and Zeus on multiple occasions. She has a thing for power and believes she is better than most everyone else, immortal or mortal. Other than Zeus and Hades, she rarely sleeps with anyone. She's just not sexual. Styx smells like black pepper.

Selene - Selene has an open sexuality and isn't afraid of sleeping with someone she cares for. Her first lover was Helios, but they share more of a brother/sister connection than one of lovers. Hermes has hit on her on occasion, but she only laughs it off, she considers him just a flirt and doesn't take him seriously. Thanatos was a former lover and current friend. He shares a special part of her heart, and she'll always be crushing on him in some form. Endymion is still in her world, but she very rarely visits him, and just allows him to sleep. Zeus was also a lover. Friendship wise, she is close with Thanatos and, was close with Artemis, before she and Helios had their fallout. She still considers Artemis her friend and would be there for her should she need her. Selene smells like cold water and mint.

Ossa - I'm still developing her, but she's mainly a lesbian, only sexing men when it gets her something that she wants or when she's particularly intrigued. But that's rare. She shares a good relationship with Aphrodite and considers her a friend and an occasional lover.

Adikia - Kia will sleep with anything that shows interest. She's slept with Momos and Phobos for sure. Although I'm sure there are more gods in game she's at least hit on. She's not particularly complicated. She smells like men's cologne, whatever kind you like. That's what she smells like.

Hedy - Still in development. He's slept with Andy and Hori, I believe. I think that's it in game so far. He's a big baby when he doesn't get his way. When he's normal, he's not quite so babylike. Smooth. He smells like Cotton Candy and Roses.

Momos - Momos has slept with Ate and Kia. Kia only once, and Ate..well, that's ongoing. He's also slept with Deimos, and shares a mutual flirtation with the daimon. At least when Phobos isn't around. Momos has an aversion to being in pain. He has a tendency to be a bit of a chicken shit when pain is involved. Unless it's sexual pain, that's different, and only minor sexual pain. Severe? Doesn't play well. Momos smells like expensive cigar and woodsy cologne.

If anyone has any suggestions or additives to the back story that they'd like to include? Let me know. I'm always up for greater character development.

So... What do the recent posts mean?

For those who are confused... any thread started tonight or later is after the power switch... all your gods are back to normal... or as normal as they ever were. The powers are put back the way they were.

However...

Time on the mortal plane has stopped. all non-deities not born of immortal blood is frozen in place. Clocks are stopped, things aren't moving, water isn't flowing, plants aren't growing... things are stopped.

The youngest deity from each realm - Sea, sky, and Hades - have had mystical tattoo's with the word "Chosen" in greek appear on them. If your character got one, I'll let you know.

Everything else going on, you've got to figure out on your own. :D Any questions, of course, you know how to find me.

Tweak says, "Beauty will save the world."

So I've been doing some thinking about past histories/love affairs and since things are different here than what they were and we've made changes I'd like to involve the chars here in my chars personal lives to possibly all give us more to work with. So here is what I need and if you would like to work your chars history in with mine we will work it out.

1) Andy: He needs a few lovers among the deities because he is obviously an erote and well we all know about Erotes. ;)

2) Thanatos. Thanatos is not the most sexual being no, but he has existed for as long as there have been things that could die. So it's safe to say he's had lovers and since it's not possible for him to have a mortal lover, they all have to be either divine or dead. This is how I figure it: His first love was a god named Phanes, after that Hermes, Selene, some of the shades, (Narcissus being one of them, since Narcissus conveniently is rumored to stay on the banks of Styx instead of crossing,) but I'm thinking he needs at least one more god and one more goddess in there somewhere.

3) Anteros. I'm thinking he was very close to some of the muses if you know what I mean while he was on the Mountain in the early days. I need a "maiden" type character to fill the previous role Clotho occupied because the whole forbidden first love thing is pivotal to his character and while I could keep it as Clotho, it could be interesting just making "the first" a "maiden" type.

4) Some deities Phobos may have had sexual escapades with in the past? Keep in mind Phobos is not a romantic and when he is it's only with Deimos, unless he is mindscrewing, so whatever it was, it was nothing more, at least to him, then sex, probably casual sex or spur of the moment. In the future this may change depending on plot, etc, but in the past he was a real jerk and presently he is still a jerk. The closest thing to a romance that doesn't involve Dei I can think of is maybe when he was child and had some kind of childhood thing with someone that he grew out of.

5) Strife, I'd say he has never been popular among deities, so his lovers were probably mortals, but he may have had someone immortal before Harmonia as a love interest.

6) Morpheus is basically my most physically chaste character, and that is because he doesn't leave his kingdom much and all of his work, his tormenting, and most of his conversations with others take place in a dream state reality, but this isn't to say that he may not have had a lover he met in her dreams.

So... as many of you are aware, the whole switcheroo thing is coming to an end. I know we originally planned on it having two switches, but I think everyone's sort of ready to get back to normal. Now... the next sort of game plot is already starting to be in the works... but 'm interested in what sort of challenges/obstacles/plotlines you'd be interested in seeing in the future. I've come up with some ideas... I need input.

I need a list of everything that needs to be finished before the switch. I'm making a new post with a list of what I know... I need you to tell me what I'm missing. I know I keep asking, but I keep asking while I'm either at work, so can't write anything down, or right before I fall asleep, so don't remember anything.

And now it's time for the strange question of the week!

As i'm sure is pretty obvious by now, we've sort of taken some mythology and turned it on its ear. We've killed off certain people, messed with timelines a few times, have more people plotting the deaths of others...

All of which I think is good... challenge and change is what makes things interesting.

So... I offer to you the following questions:

What gods/deities/demigods/what have you do you, for reasons of RP, do you want to make sure are *not* offed? We're talking NPCs, here, obviously. Who's important to your polts, your histories, your downtime, etc?

Do any of these changes bother you? if they do, will you tell me before anything gets to far?

What changes, if any, would you prefer to see in general? (game specific - I can not appoint presidential nominees or foster world peace... yet.) I don't mean just in conjunction with the previous questions, but in general.

What else can I do for you to make this more enjoyable?

Using the judiciously fair method we often use for making decisions around here (ie, if you're online when I get a crazy idea, I run it past you, and generally you all agree because you're masochists) I thought it might be fun, and useful even, to have a bit of character development... so here's the idea.

About every two weeks or so, I'll post an idea for a writing prompt. No one has to use any of them... they're there as tools. They are meant to be answered IC.... But that post can either be done here, in the OOC posts, or in the game.

Now... I understand if some of this is kind of hard until we fix the problem IC... but remember, it's not like it's anything you have to do, or that there's a time limit on or anything. A lot of these will be themes people use when writing any how... but whatI want you to think on, should you choose to use them... is that it's to help develop your characters.

So... the first prompt is this:

Describe the day to day life of your character.... the day in, day out for the last 4000 years day to day life. How do they fill their time? do they interact with humanity? Do they "work" at who they are, or do they just... embody it?

Remember... these are to be written as if they're IC... even if you choose to only rep in the OOC forum.

As some of you may be aware... I am in Florida until Wednesday. EJ is moving this weekend, and will have no internet until Tuesday.

Therefore - the meeting will officially take place at the earliest on wednesdayish. :D

however... this doesn't mean anything's on hold. Dite's just not showing up until then.
