[In the common room of the Ophiuchus dorm today, there are large boxes perched upon every available surface: the bar, the tables, and several teeter somewhat precariously upon stools. Seated atop them are a pair of foxes, identical in every detail, which look up at the sound of footsteps approaching.]

[It's not much, really. Just a slanted hole, lined with pebbles and one large, flat piece of obsidian. But filled with water, the obsidian turns shiny and smooth, and with the torch held just right, the pool reflects the blue and patched white of the cartoonish sky, deepening the colours into something closer to true.

Angle found, she secures the torch there and sits, watching the play of reflected light over that remembered sky.]

[There are two Uroboros out, apparently sightseeing. The smaller one is lingering behind the more common troll to the area, not entirely at ease. That's not exactly surprising.]

[There is an Ophi sitting on a rock near the river. Beside her is a stack of cards, and a basket to of some cheese, bread, meat, and eggs. Though only a very small amount in the basket, being more of a lure for people to come over to her.]

The servants of the great Guardian Serpent yawned as they uncoiled themselves, stretching the limbs that their keeper lacked.

It was quite early, but a great smell lured them all to the common area: the familiar, if forgotten, odor of baked goods sitting on a window sill to cool, the sharp tang of cheeses, and the savory aroma of meats. Their noses did not lie! Waiting for the servants was a grand spread of the delicacies, jams and spreads offered as well as a bonus. What a fine breakfast this would make! But there was another seated at the table, one not of their rank.

Why, it was a Judge! One deemed Storyteller. She slithered around, chair to chair, happy to see the Ophiuchus. She had work for them, it seemed! The food wasn't all for them, but blanks as well.

"Surely there must be a price for such treats?" The blanks of black thought.

Indeed, there was. The Judge motioned at a small stack of cards, tasks to be offered to the poor, deprived Blanks of the South Block. But would they be interested? Ahhh, the story had to continue~!
