Fay and Mokona had toasted another successful evening of playing house with a round of sake and had lounged around drinking downstairs for a good half an hour before Mokona had started to yawn. With the promise of doing the tired creature proud by finishing at least another bottle between Fay and Kurogane, Fay had carried Mokona to bed.
Promise in mind, Fay quickly changed out of his dirty and dusty clothing from the day, and, after a quick wash, changed into the flowy robes he'd become so comfortable in and fond of in Nihon. With the bottle of sake and two of the weird saucer-micro plate type things in hand, He made his way out into the garden.
The sun had set a little while ago, so the outdoors was lit by soothing lights that lacked the harsh yellow tones of the bulbs indoors. His feet were almost silent on the garden path and could have been completely had he wanted to startle the ninja, but instead he thought they had both rather earned a relaxing evening.
"Kuro-sama is looking much more relaxed." Fay remarked softly, breath clouding in the cool night air despite the steam rising from the pool. And it was true. It was rare to see Kurogane without the tense line of his shoulders or firm set of his jaw. Alien almost, but that didn't mean it didn't suit him. Fay wished they could have more moments like this.
He set the bottle and cups down on the ground beside Kurogane, then sank to the stone floor himself, the long garment effortlessly arranging itself over his folded legs. "Mokona thought you could use a little treat."
