It is I Again!
I being Dawn for those who aren't mind readers. I bring you Graham Forrest.

He's a sixth year Gryffindor which means we have another sixth year and another boy...and this one won't surprise anyone by romancing one of the other blokes! :-P

He's the other Beater on the Quidditch team which is somewhat odd considering the boy is an idealist. But he uses sports to channel his aggression because he's a bit like the Incredible Hulk, you wouldn't like him when he's angry. He likes to hit things and they tend to break. Thankfully, it takes a lot to make him angry.

He's a good sort but he can seem pretty...intense. He's a boy of extremes.

So backstory? Plottage? All is appreciated.

*runs towards Graham, trips and falls* :-P

Graham! Woot! You know I loved that boy BEFORE you chose that delicious. Quite nutrious PB! Ima stare at his icons ALLL day. LOL

We already discussed him and James. Butt-headin, yet still the mutual respect for the most part?

How about with Parry?

I'll try to get the rest of the icons up for you then. *G*

Absolutely. Because James knows that Graham takes Quidditch quite seriously. Actually Graham takes everything seriously. The other Gryffs need to get to this poor boy!

I would imagine that Graham would quite like Parry. She's probably the only other person at Hogwarts as serious minded as he is.

You had better!

James passes by and coughs: Stick-up arse!
You know if you ay it fast enough, it does sound like a sneeze :-D

I laughed at that. Not so much cause it's funny. Even though it is but also cause it's true. Oh my gosh. I just got an image of them hanging out, him talking about his mother saving trees (or something) and her drawing them. I'm not saying they'd always get a long. She has an idealistic streak, but it's more 'what can you do for me' streak in her. But still, can you imagine them being close friends? It semi-weirded me out but it COULD work.

And Graham gives him a kind of sarcastic smile and thinks that if James put half the effort that he uses to make people adore him into making the world a better place there would be no war, no poverty and all previously endangered species would come back.

I don't know if they would be besties or anything but I can imagine them getting on fairly well and not being disgusted when they have to be in each other's presence.

James is unsure if he should be flattered or feel bad and also be insulted?

Yeah, I don't think besties. I don't think she's opened up to anyone, other than Ed, enough to be true besties. But I like the last bit lol So yeah that one :-D

Very interesting character...

Shin - knows him through Quidditch, but not much else? Unless Graham was/is being tutored by Shin for anything. I don't see any conflict between them anyway. :)

Meredith - pretty much likes everyone and that goes double for the people in her year. Perhaps she could be the female friend he defended in Fifth year? She'd also be interested in hearing about the comic books and the Fables series would appeal to her interest in fairy tales. So... good friends?

I think you're right with Shin, I don't see them knowing each other outside of Quidditch.

Absolutely good friends. I can see where he would be very protective of Merry. And he would love to have someone to share comics with.

And if Shin does notice him it'll be with a thankful feeling that not ALL Gryffindors are crazy. ;)

Excellent! She would say he doesn't have to defend her but be secretly pleased he was.

Nah Graham isn't crazy. Intese and sometimes self righteous but not crazy.

Which is one of the many reasons why he continues to do so. That and he genuinely likes her. I have a feeling that it's really important to him that she treats him so normally.

Wellll.... Dalan thinks he is lametastic. Yep, that is all I have got here, but I don't really want to leave you with one sentence, SO. Um, yeah, I don't know how they would have known each other at all, except through random sightings at Quidditch games. Besides that Dalan would just... not acknowledge his existence unless he (Graham) bothered him/got in his way.

There, not just one sentence.

Same goes from Graham. Dalan would be completely off his radar unless Graham felt that Dalan insulted someone that Graham felt protective of.

6th year, Gryffindor, and a Beater? Sounds like Andy has a NEW BEST FRIEND. :) I think they would be very good friends, considering.

As for Abra, she would be very curious about his idealism. She might bother him alot about it, too. Be prepared!

The two of them would have to get along in order to work as closely together as they do. And I think that they'll balance each other out fairly well.

Graham probably wouldn't mind, especially if she seemed genuinely interested.

HI!

Okay, so Lydia thinks he's amazing! Despite the aggression and everything! He's on the Quidditch team, so he's wonderful and lovely and she's probably pretty close-ish to him? I dunno!

And Mischa probably is slightly afraid of him and tries to keep her distance, though she might offer a comment in his journal or they could be thrown together some way. She's not particularly trying to avoid him or anything, just she's intimidated. :P

I would think that they would be close-ish as you said. Graham has a great deal of respect for her committment to sport and he understands the necessity of everyone on the team getting along well. Plus her lack of inhibitions probably makes him a wee bit jealous because he's self aware enough to know that his intenisty scares people off he just isn't social enough to really do anything about it.

And if he sensed that he would keep his distance because he doesn't like to make people feel uncomfortable. I can actually see him trying to make things better and failing miserably. :-P

awww. Okay, Lydia loves Graham, hands down. That whole last line, just kinda stole her heart (not in the romantic sort of way, just the whole sealed the deal on this friendship sort of way. :P) hee!

awwww, we'll have to see how that works out! Maybe Mischa will realise what he's doing and have a sort of 'ah ha!' moment in which she realises Graham isn't so bad.

I'm ridiculously late with Issy for backstory, forgive me? ;~;

Let's see, well, you know Isaac already. I think Isaac would find Graham amusing, especially if he has any of those headbutts with James in a public location, Is would probably stop to watch. Oh, and they sorta share the Muggle-ish background. Thoughts?

You're completely forgiven, not that there was anything to forgive.

I can't see why Graham would dislike Isaac for any reason. And their bond as Muggle borns would be important to Graham as he feels that they're a minority group within wizarding culture.

I can see them having their share of inside jokes just because what is mentioned is Muggle and therefore completely incomprehensible to most of their house mates.

Awwh ♥

Technically Issy is half-blood, but he lives in a Muggle town and in a very Muggle neighbourhood and since his dad keeps to his laboratory all day, his upbringing is pretty much completely Muggle too. He would totally get the Muggle references, have the inside jokes and hey, Issy might have tried to make him feel comfy back in his first year at Hogwarts. Issy generally notices when someone feels out of their element and feels obligated to save their day!

That would be cool if Issy did take Graham under his wing. Because otherwise I think that he might have been pretty overwhelmed. Hogwarts is hugely different from growing up on a commune.

I would JUST like to point out that James is thoroughly disturbed by this image. LOL Not that his arse doesn't worry about Louis or Andy. But he says in a manly way. Not a hennish one.

And another thing he's a BIT tetchy and put out that his best mate would stand and laugh while he was butting heads with the young one.

Isaac says hah, no one who spends hours primping for his adoring fans like James can be manly!

And Is sure hopes his best mate is capable of butting heads with the wittle ones without his help, standing by to laugh is totally the right reaction.
