Characters; Team Alpha
Date/Time; November 5; 10:00 AM
Where; Room of the Challenge
Warnings; ?
Status; incomplete

All the students were to be lined up in their respective teams and ready to face what they would be once the doors opened. Of course, each team was to go in team by team and wait until the previous team finished before the next team would enter. They were also told to be quiet so as to not accidentally assist a different team – though there would be no chances of slips, there was a competitive feel to the air.

The challenge would take place in one of the DADA classrooms, the largest one and currently both Headmistress McGonagall and Professor Longbottom was standing outside. The former faced the students with an impassive expression while the latter was giving encouraging smiles all around.

"Team Alpha," the Headmistress announced, "it is now your team's turn to enter the room. I do hope you have all prepared. And good luck."

The room they were ushered into was dark, so dark in fact that they would need to provide their own source of lighting if they were to see more than three feet in front of them. There was also a dank, musty scent that was usually not found in the room, as well as a light breeze when supposedly there were no windows in the room. Now, what will the team do?

Why do these sort of things have to start off in the dark? Meredith wondered to herself and sighed, far more loudly than she intended to. What was that light spell again? Well, she needed her wand for that! "Smells funny in here," she said outloud, hoping someone would comment back because if they didn't then she might just freak out. Her hand delved into her pocket for her wand, but as she did so, she stumbled back, stepping on someone's foot. "Oh! I'm sorry!!"

"Whoa there, easy does it," Malcolm said with a laugh, grabbing Meredith's shoulders so she wouldn't fall over before letting go and stepping back. Pulled his wand easily from his pocket he spun it around once before saying "Lumos," clearly, illuminating a small bit of the room. For the most part he still couldn't see anything, and he pulled a face. "Well that's helpful."

Scrunching up his nose at the smell he peered around, hoping that something would jump out at him. Hopefully this wouldn't be as boring as it seemed like it was going to be.
