Characters; Legionnaires
Date/Time; November 5; 12:45 PM
Where; Room of the Challenge
Warnings; ?
Status; incomplete

All the students were to be lined up in their respective teams and ready to face what they would be once the doors opened. Of course, each team was to go in team by team and wait until the previous team finished before the next team would enter. They were also told to be quiet so as to not accidentally assist a different team – though there would be no chances of slips, there was a competitive feel to the air.

The challenge would take place in one of the DADA classrooms, the largest one and currently both Headmistress McGonagall and Professor Longbottom was standing outside. The former faced the students with an impassive expression while the latter was giving encouraging smiles all around.

"Legionnaires," the Headmistress announced, "it is now your team's turn to enter the room. I do hope you have all prepared. And good luck."

The room they were ushered into was dark, so dark in fact that they would need to provide their own source of lighting if they were to see more than three feet in front of them. There was also a dank, musty scent that was usually not found in the room, as well as a light breeze when supposedly there were no windows in the room. Now, what will the team do?

It you would have asked her prier to right this moment, Violetta would have told you she was going to be nervous, that she would probably feel like throwing up all over herself and that she probably would, so don't stand in her immediate area. She probably would have told you she would be jumping out of her skin in worry, however Violet didn't seem to take into count the fact that she was a Gryffindor, and a rightly placed one at that. Violet was jumping out of her skin, however it was because she was excited, and it was more toward a bubbly bounce and any frightened jump. When they called her teams name she was all but jumping up and down and clapping gleefully, the silly lout.

At the sound of Legionnaires being called she ran for the door, her wand in her hand and at its ready. How she made it to being the first one of her teammates inside when surely they were all just as anxious as she was, she didn't know. It probably had something to do with when a tall, leggy blond went running... hurling... well, threw herself at something, you didn't normally stand in the way for fear of a bowling pin like reaction. She was halfway into the room when she reached out and snagged Nunnally's hand, though not because she was afraid, she was just remembering her daydream when Nunners and her were the only two who were trying to do anything.

The darkness was the first thing Violet noticed, but as soon as she breached the doorway and had crossed the threshold, the breeze is what struck her. She had used this classroom enough to know there wasn't any windows, and as far as she could remember, they hadn't come across any beasts that would bring about wind. Raising her wand in front of her, she muttered, "Lumos", her breath catching, though only because she was slightly over excited and choked on it.

Violetta may have been the first one in, but Kenseigh was right behind her. Her excitement had been, in no small measure, was contagious. It had gotten Kenseigh's heart pumping even faster than her own adrenaline already had. Her mind began to reel with all the facts and creatures she'd read about in the impromptu study session she'd had last night in preparation. She'd always thought that one could never be too prepared, but in the midst of trying to get her mind to calm, she was pretty sure she'd found that instance.

The breeze was creepy. It sent a chill down Kenseigh's spine, her fingers tightening around her wand. "That smell..." She uttered closing her eyes to Violetta's lumos. She let her mind play over the smell that filled the room, searching through her memory for a match.

She allowed herself only a few brief moments before she opened her eyes again. She raised her wand, following suit with the soft utterance of "Lumos".

Once the girls had entered, something fizzed by quickly, sharply tugging on a strand of Violetta's hair before quickly moving away when Kenseigh raised her wand. If they paid attention, they would notice the smell that traced the path of the creature right into the left 'corridor' of the said room. A corridor that usually wasn't there. If they investigated further they would also notice a makeshift door in front of them, mold and rust and all.

"Please tell me one of you lovelies just touched my hair, or I am going to scream." Violet had jerked slightly when someone.. or thing, had reached out and tugged a piece of her hair, dropping Nunnally's hand in the movement. She had no problem with people touching her hair, as she found the feeling quite nice indeed, but not when it was someone other then a human. She didn't like the idea of creatures being attracted to her hair at all. "Well, whatever it is, it seems to like my shampoo." She joked lightly, raising her own wand in the air a bit more for a better view, her other hand tugging her long hair over her shoulder for safe keeping. Sorry little buddy, but the hair was off limits.

"Do you smell that? Okay, stupid question, if you can't spell that something is wrong." She wrinkled her nose at the smell. It wasn't exactly horrible, but it wasn't anything she would want to encounter on a normal basis. Walking slowly into the room, she turned herself in different directions to get a good view of the entire setting. "Okay, I know that's not supposed to be there." She was pointed down the corridor, have not noticed the door yet.
