Eighty-five years ago the thirteen districts of Panem revolted against the Capitol. In retribution District 13 was destroyed, and every year since 24 children were forced into an arena to battle to the death on national television, a reminder to the districts of how completely powerless they are. A decade later the capitol has announced its latest scheme for The Games: the Decimation Match every ten years that is harder, harsher, and crueler than any before.
