THIS IS THE ASHWINDER COALITION
Do not panic, do not try to turn away, this message will appear on the pages of your journals every half hour for the next twenty-four hours.

On January 1, 1984, the Department of Mysteries reported an accident in one of their labs to the Minister of Magic. Due to certain contracts and legal obligations, the Ministry was unable to report this accident to the public, which is where we step in. Several of you have been experiencing what can only be considered slips in reality.

But DO NOT PANIC. Every citizen of the United Kingdom and surrounding territories has reported a similar experience since the time of the accident. Due to the nature of the work done in the Department of Mysteries, we cannot know what was being worked on at the time of the accident, but we can only assume that this work is what has been causing the magical world to slip in and out of our current reality. The length of these shifts appear to be growing as time goes on, with reports of people disappearing for longer than a day at a time. Something must be done about this, be it spearheaded by the Ministry, or by the people. If this continues, we may lose everything in this world.

Already, another conflict within our world has arisen. Around the time of the accident within the Department of Mysteries, Jacob Hopkins, leader of the anti-witch movement known as the Malleus Maleficarum, has returned. Shortly after the attack upon the Tower of London, Hopkins' body was found across town in his limousine, and it has been speculated that his reappearance and the accident are somehow a part of a plot by the Malleus Maleficarum to punish any and all forms of magic within the United Kingdom. He must be stopped before he regains his power and strengthens his following with tales of his resurrection.

This is your country. Take back the control. Hear the other side for once.
