Hello! I am working on some fun tutorials for update ideas for the new community wizardry (sorry for the shameless plug) and the first one I've done is a transparent PNG tutorial that we use that basically works great for handwriting fonts and posting images that aren't necessarily a square that will work with any color background. You should be able to do this in PS 4 and up! Confused? ( hopefully this will help! )

Saving images can be confusing for a lot of people. If you have Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro or Gimp, you are provided with tons of options for how to save your images, most of them with strange extension names which generally don't make much sense to any of us.
