Need Help with Coding Tweaks

Currently, I'm working on revamping the look of this journal (as well as the character information), but I've come across a some issues with the layout I'm using.

1. How do I hide my name?
2. How do I make my icon round, give it a border, etc.?
3. How do I get a dashed border around Navigation?
4. How do I link Customs, Threads, and Phone?

And this last one isn't coding related, but where does everyone go to find those nifty previews of iPhone covers like this?

Here's the coding I'm working with:

Floating Cast Table + Variations

A fellow RP buddy, [info]themplusme, was in need of an easy-to-edit-later cast table. Seeing that the old floating table is either dead or disappeared, I went and made a new one for her to use and thought other RPers would find it useful. Included are variations in size and uses:

Does anyone know of a way to re-set a journal? For example, remove friends, remove icons, delete journal entries, delete notifications?

F-Locking a Community

I know there's a way to set the precedence in the admin console to f-lock every post in a community after executing the command. I just don't remember what it is. Does anyone know?

EDIT So for a community, it's

set for <*community*> newpost_minsecurity friends

just replacing with the community's name (no <* or *>)

Help! I need somebody!

I am hopeless when it comes to finding journals for layouts, so any and all suggestions would be absolute love. Especially if they have a layout like this. Where do you people find these things?! I'm so jealous.

Please help!

Character Profile

I've been sitting on this a while and finally decided to post it. It's based on an app template I made for a game I ran and has a matching post template that will be forthcoming.

What is the easiest way to make a website into a usable code? For example, kickstarter.com I want to make a kickstarter project page for a character that's a musician but I've never made a code from scratch before. As of right now I just have a bunch of screencapped images for his page, but it's getting to be a pain to edit and reupload the pictures every time. I can give a link to a project page if need be.

This is probably a stupid question and already answered someplace here but I can't find it. Does anyone know how to write an entry with two ( or more) columns?

Code Tester

Hey guys! So, normally, I send people to DRAAC to live-test their HTML and div styled codes but, recently, they've added, uh.

This really ugly sidebar. )

And, idk about you guys, but for me it's super distracting. I was getting a bit sick of all the text on the page anyway, so here you go. A new code tester based on their code (because I'm lazy lmao), with a clean, un-distracting page layout.

Just like DRAAC's, my code tester is good for HTML codes, div styled codes, and full HTML/CSS pages (but not CSS alone). Oh and, even after previewing, CTRL+Z still works, which is always a big bonus for me.

In-Depth Character Profile

Hey all! This is my first time posting here, but I've lurked for ages. I finally got around to starting up some RP resources on my LJ code comm, layouttesst, so I thought I should probably post them here too!

Since I'm supposed to be working on apps for [info]ironforest , my brain, of course, is telling me to work on other stuff. Voila:

This is my first character layout I've built from scratch so I'm sure it's pretty terrible. Pointers would be lovely as well as letting me know if the explanation/instructions for the code was clear. Or if it was confusing or where it could use improvement, etc. ♥

Google Web Fonts

OR Everyone's favourite SO PRETTY BUT SO FRUSTRATING web design technology in the history of the universe. Okay, not really, but whatever. I've seen a lot of people asking questions about Google Web Fonts, which is one of the coolest things I've learned this semester in my web classes. Aside from Aurora, of course. And I noticed that most of these questions were difficulties with Scribbld or the font just not wanting to work, so after talking to ~chaperoned briefly, I figured I'd go ahead and come write up a quick tutorial on how to use Google Web Fonts, and trouble-shooting some common errors. There are screenshots, although primarily this is a text-based tutorial. Bridget rambles a bit a lot.

Please note that this is a tutorial that assumes you have a bit of HTML/CSS under your belt, but no experience whatsoever with Google Web Fonts. If the instructions seem rudimentary, again, it's assuming that this is your first time looking at Google Web Fonts.

I feel like the tags on this may need some help BECAUSE I SUCK AT TAGS D:

SO! Let's use some web fonts! )

[Solved] Not Sure What's Happening, But...

I've run into a bit of a hiccup with a Scribbld layout and I'm hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction to correct whatever error/mistake I did. The character layout has been tweaked to look like the character journal and the problem I've run into is that the webfont for all the headers is not showing up and I'm not really sure why since I haven't fiddled with the link one iota. So . . . I'm really not sure what's going on with it. :T
