Kie, Thai, Ro, and Rab all meet and everything is out in the open. Mostly. ;)
Kie: *sighs, settles on the ground, then lights a cigarette, watching the sky and hoping it won't be too long, since the sun's almost setting, pulls his cloak tight around him, biting his lip, and hoping Thai will be there soon, falls asleep in spite of himself, leaning against the wall of the greenhouse*
T: *apparates at the boundary and then walks across the grounds, outwardly calmly but inside he's bouncing with both nerves and excitement. Every now and then a huge grin gives away his inner thoughts. He approaches the greenhouses and smiles when he sees the boy, his brother, asleep* *crouches in front of him, soft* Kie..
K: *twitches, starting a bit, then smiles for a second when he sees who it is* Hey.
T: *smiles* Hey. Are you ready? And by the way, I forgot to tell you, people usually call me Thai. But if you prefer my full name that's alright.
K: *stands up slowly, unable to stop another smile* Nah. Thai is cool. So...how will we get there?
T: *can't stop smiling, Kie's smiles sending warm waves through him* We apparate, I'll take you there. But for that we need to pass the gates. *waves in that direction* Shall we?
K: *swallows, then straightens, nodding* Right. *walks toward the gate* *soft* Tell me about him?
T: *walks next to him, grins a little* Where to begin... he's a bundle of contradictions once you get to know him, really. He can be brutal and has quite the temper... and then he can be the sweetest, most patient man I know. He's *fiercely* protective of those he cares for, I honestly think he'd stop at nothing to protect one of us.
K: B-brutal? *looks worried* I...mean...I know he was...a Death Eater...but...so was Lucius Malfoy. And look at him.
T: *can't hold back a chuckle* Good comparison, actually. Those two are very different. Back then... Lucius was more the... politician of the group, plotting and scheming, where Dad was the soldier. And for the record... they can't stand each other.
K: Oh...kay... I've...seen pictures.
T: You have? Good. *smiles* He looks a bit different now than he did then, of course. He prefers his hair longer and.. is usually pale.
K: Well...most...it was kind of hard to make out his face. Do...you look like him?
T: *nods* Yes I do, well, I look like a mix between my parents although Rab would deny that. *grins*
K: R-Rab...right. I...heard he's worse.
T: He...is. He's... darker than Dad in some aspects, but not as bad as when he was younger. He's also very much alive and living with us. *watches Kie's face, then slowly reaches out to grab his shoulder gently* *soft* Don't worry about him.
K: *jumps at the touch, then pulls away* Oh-okay. Sorry. Aunt Mari always told me never to tell anyone.
T: *smiles, and nods slightly to himself, making a mental note to be careful about touching, then sighs* Yeah, well... I can understand that for back when my mother was alive... she'd have had a fit of immense proportions if she knew Dad had a child with another woman. But... why keep it up after they all supposedly died? You could have come to me. I'd have welcomed you with open arms. *smiles at him, noticing they're at the gate*
K: She said it wouldn't be safe for me. It's why Evan's my middle name, not my first. Same reasoning. They don't want to have me associated with Death Eaters any more than necessary.
T: *nods* I guess that makes sense. I've grown up with Death Eaters always around, so I don't always think of how others see them. Silly, really. *passes the gates, then turns towards him* We can apparate from here. Are you ready?
K: *takes a deep breath, then nods* Yeah. *steps closer*
T: Have you tried it before? *holds out his arm, remembering his reaction to touch* You can either grab hold of my arm... or I can hold you close.
K: It's okay. I've done it loads of times. I'm just...not used to people touching me.
T: I've noticed. *soft* It's okay. But you'll find that our family are different in that aspect. Ready?
K: *swallows down a bit of panic* Okay. *leans against him, still not able to make himself reach out to touch*
T: *soft* It'll be alright, I'll tell them to take it easy. *curls his arms around him, then tightens his hold and apparates them to the manor, arriving in the entrance hall, then slowly lets go*
K: *gasps a little at the touch, pulling away as soon as they've arrived* Wow...it's...old.
T: *grins* Yes, it is. It's been in the family for centuries.
Ro: *pacing in the lounge by the entrance hall, waiting for the tell tale crack of apparition, then quickly moves to the door and glances out, sees and recognizes Kie, then swears quietly to himself*
K: *looks around, letting the wonder of the place show on his face* Centuries?
Rab: *hears the crack and looks down the stairs to get a look at his "new" nephew, feeling Ro's distress grow through their connection, and sighs, not sure if it's wise for him to go down and comfort him right now, but runs his fingers very lightly over his mark to let Ro know he's thinking of him, sending calming thoughts his way*
T: *nods and smiles at the look on his face* Yes, I can't remember the exact year, but it was built by one of our ancestors. Full of magic, of course.
Ro: *shivers when he feels his mark tingle gently, then smiles and lightly touches his own mark to show Rab his gratitude. Then he takes a deep breath and slowly opens the door, stepping into the hall*
K: *is looking at Thai, nodding, when hears the door open, and turns, paling at the sight of Ro* No. *looks between them, eyes wide* No! *seems torn* I...trusted you! *backs up against the wall*
Rab: *clutches the rail to keep himself from going down*
T: *turns to say hi to Ro, then frowns at the look on his face and turns to look at Kie, completely clueless, turns back to Ro* Dad? What..?
Ro: *sighs and doesn't move from the spot right outside the door, intent on not frightening Kie further* *soft* Kie and I have...met previously. When I... was... on the prowl.
T: *eyes open wide, knowing full well what that means, then groans and runs his hand through his hair*
K: *surprised Ro hasn't advanced on him again, but doesn't look any more trusting, either* Just...stay away from me.
T: *turns his full attention on Kie* *soft* Kie... I'm sorry you've met him that way. *sighs* This is our dad. And yes, he's a vampire. I thought I'd wait with that piece of information.
Ro: *sighs, understanding, then takes a step back and leans against the wall, to try and appear less threatening* I'm sorry. I so hoped it wasn't you when Thai described you. I know... I attacked and frightened you. *sighs*
K: *closes his eyes, fighting with all the emotions overwhelming him* It's not good enough. *soft, to Thai* Take me back.
Ro: *his entire body visibly sags* *quiet* Please... I give you my word that I'll never attack you again.
T: *torn between them* Kie.. I can easily imagine what he did. Just... he can't always control his vampire instincts. When he goes on the prowl it's the vampire that's the stronger in him. The need.
K: *angry now* So that makes it okay? Even when I'm telling him to stop?
Rab: *can't stand it any more, and comes down the stairs, shaking back his hair* And you look so very damaged to me...
K: *starts at the new voice, looking at Rab wide-eyed*
T: *groans and is about to speak, then looks up at Rab* *to Kie* Only missing one more now and we've got the whole family. This is uncle Rab. *to Rab* And you know very well what dad's like when he goes out.
Ro: *can't hold back a smirk, remembering Kie's reaction, then wipes it off his face again* Do you know anything about vampires?
Rab: *smirks* Yes, I do. And we both know there tend to be two reactions. Those interested, and those who run screaming. Does he look like he's screaming? Or running? There's a door right there...
K: *looks between the three of them, then decides Thai is his best bet for safety here, and goes to "hide" behind him, setting him between himself and the elder two Lestranges* *glances at Ro at the question, ignoring Rab's comments as best he can* Just...DADA stuff... *huffs* And you.
T: *sighs at Rab's comment, sending him a bit of a glare, then can't hold back a smile when Kie seems to trust him*
Ro: *nods* Well... I was turned during the final battle, the one at Hogwarts. I was dying from a curse when a friend saved me by turning me vampire. I've learned to control my vampire... mostly. But I still need blood every day. I have.. people who lets me feed, but every now and then I still need the hunt. It's like a predator. Ever seen the predators locked in cages in the Zoo? They're miserable. They get food, yes. But they're deprived of the hunt. I need that to live or I lose my mind.
K: *glares at him* So...that's supposed to excuse you?
Rab: *leans back against the railing, his arms crossed, raising an eyebrow at Thai*
Ro: It might not excuse me, but it does explain me. You were just... forgive me the phrase.. too bloody tempting.
T: *ignores the both of them as he turns to face Kie* Those people dad spoke of.. I'm one of them. I let him feed on me when he needs it. But he really does need to hunt. I've seen him try not to. He grows restless and edgy.. he *needs* it like... an addiction.
K: Yeah? Well...I'm not like...that. *surprised at Thai's words* Even though... *tries not to squirm* Doesn't it...make you uncomfortable?
Rab: *snorts* Feels amazing. Why should he avoid it?
T: *smirks and shakes his head* No, it feels wonderful. I know nothing that turns me on more than letting him feed on my blood.
Ro: *grins at their words and struggles with himself to remain standing*
K: T-turns you...on? *backs off from Thai* But...he's...you're... And... *shakes his head* I want to go back.
T: *tries hard not to flinch**soft* There's an aphrodisiac in his spit, that's what gives the rush when he feeds. *sighs* Yeah? I can understand you need some time. This is... quite a lot to take in all at once. Which is why I didn't tell you he was a vampire at first. It's huge enough as it is. If you want I can take you back to Hogwarts now. Then maybe you and I can talk some more.. maybe tomorrow?
Ro: *literally bites his tongue to keep quiet, and silently agrees with Thai*
K: *looks between all three, then nods* Yeah.
Rab: *raises his chin* You're a fool if you let him go now, Ro.
Ro: *glares at Rab* Shut the fuck up, Rab. This is not like Ryan who needed to get away from that horrid woman. *looks at Kie and nods* Kie needs time, he can have all the time he wants. *smiles* I hope you'll be able to trust me one day. I'm your dad and that's not going to change.
T: *groans at Rab, then can't hold back a grin when Ro tells him off, then focuses on Kie* Are you ready to go then?
Rab: *huffs, then rolls his eyes*
K: *looks surprised at the reaction, and a bit wide-eyed, then nods slowly, still looking at Ro* Yeah.
Ro: *still smiling as he looks into Kie's eyes* *soft* You look a bit like your mother, but you're definitely a Lestrange. You have my word that I won't come after you. You need time. *nods* Leave now. You may owl me if you want. I'd love that. Even if you send me a Howler. *grins*
T: *steps closer to Kie, grinning at the Howler bit* Shall we go?
K: *even more surprised at that, then nods at Thai* Yeah, let's go. *takes hold of Thai's arm, still not looking away from Ro, blushing moments before Thai apparates them away*
T: *apparates them back to the gates* Are you alright?
Ro: *doesn't take his eyes away from Kie, a smirk curling his lips when he sees the blush*
K: *nods* Would you...come back soon and talk to me about him?
T: *nods and smiles* Of course. You can owl me when you're ready.. or I can come by tomorrow?
K: *smiles* Tomorrow.
T: *smiles* I'll see you then. *disapparates*
K: *goes inside to think about everything he's heard tonight*
