Re: Hotel -> Lost: Jules & Kitane
[Jules was lost in her thoughts, that echoed Kitane's questions. What if they were hiding? What if this was some creepy death trap? What if she and Kitane were already dead? What if-] AHHHHHHHHH! [Kitane's scream snapped Jules out of it, the tense fear that built in her stomach being released with that one shrill scream. Did she know why she joined in with Kitane? Not really. It was instinct. Kitane screamed, startled Jules, so she screamed.] What? WHAT?! [She really wanted to know. Adrenaline was flowing, her heartbeat pounding loudly in her ears, so Kitane's words were slightly muffled. Her actions, on the other hand, were clear as day. There was danger in the ocean. Time to evacuate.
Jules kicked her legs high in the air as she sprinted up the beach into the warm sand. Kitane's words started to slowly make sense. Something was holding on to her.] Oh god, oh god, oh god! [Now for the most part, Jules puts on a brave face. Deep down she's a total coward. This was a fear she had never experienced. There was some monster on Kitane, and they were going to die. They didn't even get to have a margarita. Oh god, she needed a weapon. Something to protect herself. Jules ran around in circles like a chicken with her head cut off, picking up and subsequently dropping small rocks or pieces of driftwood twigs.] There's nothing here! I'm sorry, I'M SO SORRY! DON'T DIE!
[And Kitane didn't. Oh sure, it had more to do with the fact that it was seaweed and not Jules' command, but it was timed rather well all things considered. When the plant was peeled free, Jules squinched her face up in disgust. It looked like something you went to the hospital for when it came out of your nose. Still, she collapsed onto her butt into the sand, breathing out a long sigh of relief. The rapid heartrate started to slow, and she giggled as the imminent threat was taken care of.] Yeah. Let's get out of here. I don't know if I can take a scare like that again. [A grin was plastered on her face. It could have just as easily happened to her.] To the bags!
