Re: Hotel -> Lost: Jules & Kitane
[The war cry Kitane let out cracked Jules up. The sudden overwhelming fit of laughter combined with the weird way the sand shifted under her boots, found Jules falling to her hands and knees into the sand.] Go Go Go! [She waved Kitane on as she flopped onto her butt, still giggling all the while. Jules pulled one leg high into the air and pointed at her boots.] I need to get these off! [The laces were a pain, and her fingers fumbled due to her moving so quickly forcing her to untangle herself every few hooks. Yeah, she should have brought some sandals.
With a loud whoop, Jules tossed the boots off behind her. Her legs were free and it felt so much better, even if the sand was already sticking to her legs from how clammy those boots made her skin. Whatever. She was getting in the water! She rocked onto her back to get the leverage to flip herself up onto her feet, then made a beeline to the water. No, she wasn't wearing her bathing suit, but she didn't even care. Excitement had taken over.
In her excitement, she failed to notice that her once bruised back and slightly dislocated shoulder were healed. Even less noticeable was the damage to her eye socket had been fixed. Jules could see. Not that she couldn't before, but now she didn't have to squint and strain to have the world in focus. Not that any of that mattered right then. It was the furthest thing from her mind. There was no pain to distract her. Just pure awesome ocean in front of her.]
Oh, the water is so warm! [Jules looked shocked in the most pleasant way possible. As she was still in her shorts and tank top, she only went in as deep as her knees but that was all she needed. Seeing the ocean was one of her dreams when she was younger, and finally standing there with the waves lapping at her legs nearly made Jules cry those ugly happy tears. She kicked the water into the air, letting it rain down on her with the biggest grin on her face. This was the life. She could probably stay here forever and be fine. You know, because five minutes being somewhere was enough to decide if you could live there.
The pure unadulterated joy was only interrupted by a concerned frown as she looked down the coast of the beach. What was that?] Is that part of a plane?
