Re: Hotel -> Lost: Jules & Kitane
[Jules giggled when Kitane joined in with her anti-government cheer. If she paid more attention to the news, she could have actually backed up her little protest. As it was, there were few facts she could pull out to support why anarchy would be a more advantageous system to run a country, but Kitane wasn't asking. Thank god. She got it. So punk rock. It was going to be a good day.
Eyebrows raised when Kitane corrected her, and Jules had to bite her tongue to keep from making a smart-ass comment about how living there and visiting was close enough. It was still impressive to a Midwest girl that had spent most of her life on a farm, after all.] Knee how? What does that mean? Is it something naughty? Can I call someone that as an insult? I need international heat. [Typical wrestler reaction. Fact. Jules cackled hysterically when Kitane mocked the face of some guy on the ride.] OH MY GOD! That is beautiful! Do they do that thing where they take a picture? UGH, you've done so much cool stuff! I want to hear everything! Legit hippies? Drum-circle, weed-smoking, flower-power hippies?
[Most of that was forgotten once the door opened to a gorgeous white sand beach. Yeah, it was still weird to her. A quick glance at the sign on the doorway and Jules' eyes lit up. Namaste. She grinned and pressed her palms together, giving a small bow towards the door itself.] Oh, Namaste! [Thanks, Buddhism. With barely another thought, Jules tossed herself through the doorway and onto the beach. Maybe it was Thailand. Maybe a Sandals resort. Either way it was an adventure.
Jules' bags hit the sand, and she took in a deep breath. It was beautiful and perfect. And eerily empty. She turned around to look for the door behind her only to find a makeshift tent made from a tarp. A few books laying around in the sand, a pair of broken glasses, but nothing that gave any indication of the hotel they had just come from. Jules' pulled the tarp doorway back, stomping through the small lean-to and emerging from the other side. Maybe that was normal. There was a whole little camp nearby that appeared abandoned, but none of that mattered to Jules at that moment. It was the ocean that stopped her in her tracks. It was beautiful and stretched as far as her eyes could see.] The Eeney Meeney Miney Mo Gods generally screw me over. Today is the day I finally have received their blessing. ... Wow. [Kitane's excitement rubbed off on Jules, and she gave off a whoop of her own as she took off running towards the water. Her big boots didn't make it easy, but stopping to take them off would have made sense. Logic rarely prevailed when put beside Fun.] Wait for meeeeeee!
