Re: It Ain't Over Kids: A Hulk Out
Now that the fighting is over, we exterminate this monster that has plagued us for so long!
[It was Thor, and the threat, from gesturing with Mjolnir to his grimace of righteous fury, was very real. ...Or it all seemed so real that it was impossible to distinguish from the truth. The hammer glinted in the sunlight, and he crackled with power and malice toward the Hulk. All the details were perfectly correct. His armor showed all the same scoring, burning, and bloodstains that Thor's did, and the set of his jaw in righteous fury matched the real thing down to the letter. The attack was strangely abrupt, though, wasn't it? No lead up at all, no explanation, no provocation. What had made Thor turn on his teammate so quickly? Had it all been a plan from the beginning? Were the rest of the Avengers about to join him in the attack?
He came up behind the Hulk, and he lifted his mighty hammer to the sky. Lightning coalesced on his hammer, crackling and hissing, building up strength.] I will cleanse you from this world with the might of the storm! [Lightning reached out to lick at the monster's green skin.
Whatever the reason for Thor's sharp turn against the Hulk, Loki came running from the site of the downed ship he had just finished cleaning up, shouting for his brother to stop. He couldn't run fast enough, though, couldn't make it there in time.
'Thor' was not listening. The thunder rumbled and roared. Lightning struck just beside the Hulk's foot, and the thundered echoed loudly enough to be heard throughout the city. The ground under the lightning strike sparked, and the asphalt blew apart. The rolling clouds grew deeper and more turbulent, blocking out the sun, covering Boston in a pall that was broken only by brief flashes of light.]
