Re: Magical Narnia: Ben/Ronan
He kept Ronan's balance when he bent to remove his shoes, hands moving from shoulder to elbow to hand and hip. Later they could tumble into the water (and probably would) but now coolness was seeping into his own shoes and his toes spread out within the confines of manufactured leather. Not quite the same.
Ben waited until Ronan was upright again, barefoot, the hem of his trousers getting wet before he took to one foot like a crane and removed shoe and sock. Once off, he let out a little sigh as his toes sank into cool water and cooler mud. A little wiggle and then his opposite leg was up so he could free his other foot. His shoes landed with a thump on the edge of the creek, the socks with a soggy pat.
"Yep. It was actually," Ben turned a little, reaching out for Ronan again to pull him close once more, hands sinking into Ronan's pockets. He indicated where the monastery had been with a dip of his head. "Up there on that plateau. We had yaks and goats." There were none now, but Ben still grinned against the back of Ronan's shoulder. "The yaks smelled terrible and the goats shit everywhere. Everywhere. I used to think we had them to each us patience." He shook his head slightly and gave him a little nudge with his hips. "Your pants are getting wet."
Maybe they should be wearing less. The monastery wasn't there now and it had been remote to begin with. Grinning more, he ducked down enough to slide one arm behind Ronan's knees, the other going around his back and up he went as Ben laughed. "Can't have you getting too wet and melting on me."
