I'm not complaining, per se, as this is much better than the last time I time traveled, but finding the way home is far more difficult. If I could figure out what sort of magic is at work I'd have an easier time with it. Is the book the key? Will the right glyphs appear eventually?

With all the wonders these worlds seem to possess, I feel I should hardly be surprised that time travel can be counted among their number.

You are a mage?

Maker, Solas, I'm glad you're here. Or, wherever you are. Where are you?

Of course. I was there when it opened, and I was there when the Inquisitor sealed it. It is refreshing to see someone else from our world, however. Are you a member of the Inquisition?

If there is humor to be found here, I do not see it.

Yes, Solas. I'm a member of the Inquisition. The green glowing mark on my hand is something of an initiate mark.

The Inquisitor is one of the People, Ellana from Clan Lavellan. You are not her. [...] Though it is possible... You spoke of time travel. What was Thedas like for you? Has the Conclave occurred in that Thedas?

Unfortunately. It's how I came to have the Mark. Thedas was--is like this, though this is some time ago.

How many years ago? Specifics, if you would be so kind.

Ten, perhaps. More or less. It's not exactly something I can easily slip into conversation. "Hello fine barkeep, what year is it? I've simply forgotten, silly me!"

There's no war here in the Hinterlands. The Circles still stand, as does Kirkwall from the way a few have talked about it.

Remarkable. We are from two disparate versions of Thedas and have found ourselves in the same one. Or, at least, it seems to be the same. The mages and templars are not engaged in open warfare where I am either.

And you bear the mark? I should like to see that.

And I should like to see if you are like the Solas I know.

That, I doubt.

It would not do to have this conversation in Thedas, but I will meet you at the Crossroads in the Hinterlands, if that is agreeable, and show you the larger world beyond our own.

The larger world but not our own respective worlds?

I do not believe there is a way to travel back to our versions of Thedas. At least, not yet. It merits further consideration. There are, however, many worlds beyond our own. A conversation in one of those lacking in templars will be significantly safer.
