The last thing he remembered had been the gun fight. He had fought off Kenny, the crazy old fool that his former teacher was. Barely escaped with his life, for a plan that was set in motion finally after so many years. He'd been resting in the back of the cabin with that cadet taking care of his scratches and wounds. Sasha, wasn't it? But that world was long gone, or so it seemed. Levi found himself in a world that looked nothing like behind the walls. Was he dreaming? He had to be dreaming. That was the only thing that made sense.
At least his swords were still at his side. The guns were still in their holsters at his hip, and his gas tanks were still at least half-empty. If any Titans found their way near him, he could still fight and survive. Dressed in white pants, knee-high black boots, a plain tan shirt, a mid-cut tan military style jacket and with his green cape flowing behind him, Levi at least looked more like himself. He took a step forward, then winced instantly. "Damn it," he muttered irritably. "If I'm dreaming, then why the hell do I still have these wounds?" He gingerly touched his cheek where a bullet had grazed his skin hours before. It was healing nicely, thanks to Sasha's work, but it still had a long way to go.
His instincts kicked in, suddenly. A scuffle against the grass behind him caused Levi to reach for his sword. He was prepared to find some place to jump into the air, knowing that he needed to protect himself if necessary. What came at him, however, wasn't any type of Titan he was familiar with. A human. Wait, no. That wasn't right. A slow-moving...Levi stared in disgust. A slow-moving, dead human? "What in the hell?" muttered Levi, sheathing his sword instinctively. It wasn't a Titan. It couldn't be. He drew the gun that was still at his hip and fired it, then cursed immediately. He'd hit the thing in the chest, but it reacted. Came at him.
"Hadn't had enough yet, have you?" he taunted it in disgust, then drew his sword and came at it. "If it works for Titans, it's good enough for you." He swung his sword and cleanly sliced off its head, then watched as the dead body slumped to the ground, dead once again. "Absolutely disgusting. Where in the hell am I?" The gun shot, however, had not been the best idea. It had drawn the attention of other dead nearby, all coming towards him as if they wanted to eat him. "You're not much different than Titans. At least you're human-sized." Withdrawing his sword again, Levi swung it at the creatures coming at him, slicing clean through their necks just as he would kill Titans. Their number was overwhelming, however.
He had to get out of there. He had to retreat for now, until he understood more about these creatures before he could fight them. Running as fast as he could, knowing he needed to reserve what resources he had until he understood this world, Levi ran for the closest location that looked civilized: a village that appeared not that far from where he was now. Once he got safely within walls again, he could plan an escape. There had to be a way out, didn't there?
