Narrative: Jonathan Crane
Who: Jonathan Crane
What: A change of view
Where: Gotham City Hospital
When: Recent!
Warnings/Rating: It's Crane. Enough said.
As enjoyable as running from dinosaurs had been, when Jonathan found the door that led from Jurassic Park back to the hotel, there was no hesitation before he left. Little was taken with him, a duffle bag with a few clothes and his journal, little more than that. He didn't intend on returning, at least not in the near future. He had certainly had his fill of dinosaurs for the time being. But now, he had other goals in his sights.
It wasn't difficult to locate the door that led to Gotham City, the wood all but vibrating beneath his palm in response. It almost seemed as though it was excited to have him back, welcoming him with warmth and an excited vibration that he could feel throughout his entire body. "I've missed you as well," he murmured in response as he stepped through and into the city that was both home and not in the same moment. He was familiar with Gotham, considered it home, even, but this one was shades different from what he was accustomed to. But there was enough about it that called to him that he found little difficulty in finding his place once again.
Jonathan Crane had a plan, after all, and he hoped it wasn't one that would be discovered quickly.
He needed cash, first and foremost, and even that was easier to find than he would have imagined. A couple pockets picked, fancy pockets that held more cash than was safe in this city, and Jonathan had what he needed. It was enough to buy him some papers, a new identity to wander this city in. Jonathan Crane, as it was well known, was not a man liked within the city of Gotham, and he had no intention of ending up behind bars or in Arkham Asylum anytime in the near future. No, he wanted his freedom, wanted the ability to enjoy himself. And the new identity would do just that.
Papers were forged with the new name, credentials he had as Jonathan Crane sliding over neatly to belong as well to Adam Edwards as well. He wasn't particularly fond of the name, but fondness wasn't really required, was it? It was just a name he was going to borrow for the immediate future, something to go by so as not to rouse too much suspicion. And it was such that Dr. Adam Edwards joined the staff at one of the city's hospitals in the psychiatric department. Not a single eye was batted as he signed his papers, pleasant smiles and handshakes all around, no one none the wiser as to whom they had really employed.
It felt good when he walked into his patient's room, a young man dealing with manic depression and recently off of suicide watch. It felt good to wear that coat again, to walk with authority, to be respected. "Hello," he began, closing the door behind him. "I'm Dr. Edwards. I thought we might talk for a moment."
