Re: log: dylan & max (daniel & lin too)
[Max ignored the childish echo from the bed with the expertise of someone who had a small and precocious daughter that was very fond of words. As for capture devices, modern hospitals had sound-capture in wards, and she forgot the year when she didn't look at the oversized television in the corner. For all of Max's skill with a rifle, she was entirely unimaginative, and she still had trouble with the concept of other times and other doors as reality. Her grounding was stubbornly unshakeable, and she really believed all the characters here to be fictional. She was getting slightly better about that, but she had a long way to go.
She didn't interrupt anything. She intended not to interrupt anything, but then McKendrick posed his question, and she knew that was going to be trouble.
She glanced at Lin, glanced back at Mckendrick, and she shook her head. No.] No one's going anywhere. [Which she said for Lin's benefit, before he lost it in the middle of the hotel room.]
