marvel: james h. & jessica d. bar times
[The location wasn't hard to find, because no, New York hadn't changed much between the worlds in terms of smell or public transit. The only thing that might slowed him was whether he was making a mistake in seeking out this stranger on his own. He wasn't worried about his own safety, of course. Logan severely lacked any instinct to be concerned about survival. He did survive, no matter what, and would be the one to throw himself head first into any fight. But it might be foolish. Vulnerable wasn't a word used to describe Logan, but when it came to his gnawing need to figure out his past, he was, a little. He could be fooled or used. He could only remember the past few years of his life, so maybe he had gone back in time to work with Magneto and Xavier. Maybe he had known Steve Rogers or Carol or Jessica or some other Avengers. The only thing he could say with confidence was that in his present there were no Avengers. The public didn't have a history of them, or other super teams. But that didn't mean that he didn't know them in some other way.]
[And whether or not they knew this version of him, Jessica claimed to know about the past of some version of him. Some details might vary, but maybe he would get another clue, if versions were similar. He had to at least talk to someone.]
[He went into the bar and, as Jess suggested, simply followed his nose. God, it made him want a cigar. Was he allowed to smoke in here? Did he care if he were allowed? Of course not, but he didn't have a cigar on him. Shame. He took a seat next to her, the furniture creaking under his weight.] I'll buy the first round. [Since he invited her. Don't ask how he got the money. New York hadn't changed so much, and some people would always pay to watch a fight.]
